It's been a year since Tohru Honda moved in with the Sohmas. Each one of them treated her as family but a certain rat was very fond of her.
Today was a special day because it was Tohru's birthday. Unfortunately, Yuki forgot but remembered when both Shigure and Kyo gave her their presents.
'I hope you didn't go through any trouble getting me these lovely gifts!' exclaimed a joyous Tohru.
I can't believe I forgot! Even the stupid cat remembered!Yuki thought.
'So Yuki-kun, what do you have for my little housewife, hm?' Shigure asked in his sing-song voice.
'Urgh! You're such a pervert!' a disgusted Kyo shouted aiming a kick right in Shigure's head.
'Well, uh… you'll get your present later, Miss Honda but, um… I have to do some light shopping so I'll be back by dinner.' Yuki said putting on his coat and heading for the door.
Before Tohru got to answer the door was shut.
Yuki hurried into town to find her the perfect present. He looked everywhere and something caught his attention. He finally found it, the perfect gift.
After dinner
'Miss Honda will you accompany me to the secret base?' Yuki asked.
'Sure, okay.' Tohru replied.
They both put on their coats and headed for the secret base.
At the secret base
'What's wrong Yuki-kun? Is everything alright?' Tohru questioned.
'Everything is fine, Miss Honda. No need to worry.' Yuki reassured her.
'O-okay.' She responded.
'Happy birthday, Tohru.' He said pulling out a red rose.
'A red rose?'
'Yes, and do you know what it means?' Yuki asked.
'Yes, it means I love you…'
After saying that, he pulled her into a gentle kiss.
