Sandwiches and Surprises
IN WHICH THREE FIFTHS OF THE AVENGERS RECEIVE SOME VERY SHOCKING NEWS
"-and then while Hawkeye escorted the Katalyian President to safety, Widow and myself took care of the rest of the enemy rebels." Steve finished his recap of the mission that they had participated in earlier that day.
"You all did fine, but I have one question." Nick Fury stated, "Where the hell is Stark?"
No one had an answer for that, and the team simply opted to stay silent.
"This is the fourth debriefing session that he's missed in a row, and now he didn't even show up for the mission?" The director questioned rhetorically, sighing and rubbing his hand across his forehead.
"Maybe we could swing by Stark Tower and see what he's up to?" Steve suggested, "Certainly he wouldn't miss this many missions for no good reason. At the very least we could find Pepper and ask her what's going on."
"Alright." Fury affirmed, "But when you see him, tell him to get his ass back to work."

Steve, Natasha, Clint, and Bruce all stood in the elevator at Stark Tower, waiting for it to reach Tony's main floor. It only took a few minutes for them to reach it, seeing as everything in the building was pretty high tech- including the lifts.
Now, seeing as they save the world on a pretty much daily basis, there are very few things that will faze the Avengers. After all, they have battled the Norse god of mischief along side Thor and saw aliens from a portal in the sky invade New York. Once you've seen that amount of crazy, you're pretty immune to surprising situations, and tend to keep an open mind about most things.
And yet, as they stepped out of that elevator, what they saw was definitely shocking.
A long haired brunette girl appearing to be in her late 20's was dancing around in the kitchen area, wearing short jean shorts and an old ACDC t-shirt with cut off sleeves. Cherry Pie by Warrant was blasting throughout the room, and the mystery girl was mouthing along to the lyrics, apparently not noticing the others yet as she made a sandwich.
Bruce, Clint, and Steve stood open mouthed and wide eyed at the sight, while Natasha was unfazed, already aware of the situation.
A few moments later, the girl looked up, noticing the new arrivals. She froze mid-lyric, staring analytically at them for a split second before relaxing and pressing a button on the counter. The music shut off, leaving the room in silence.
"'Sup." She stated casually, flashing them a grin and a peace sign, seeming unbothered by the stunned stares she was receiving.
"Uh... Who are you?" Clint managed to speak, while Bruce remained frozen and Steve continued to stare at the girl with a startled expression.
"My full name is Andromeda, but you can call me Andy." The girl smiled, "And you're the Avengers. Oh, nice to see you again Natasha."
"You too." The Romanoff woman gave her a small smile on return, nodding at the slightly younger female.
"Hold up, how do you know Natasha?" Bruce questioned, his curiosity growing by the minute.
"Oh, through my dad." Andy smiled mischievously, and Natasha sighed, smirking a bit at her antics, "They work together."
"What?" Steve voiced their confusion, although, he did have a nagging feeling that he knew what she meant.
"Oh yeah, I'm sure you've met him." She smirked, "His name is Tony, Tony Stark."
