Sitting in a cavern meditating sat a panda. This was just your average cave, but it held a special place in the pandas heart. "Po," a soft voice came from behind him."
Not turning around to see who it was, or even opening his eyes, he answered, "Yes Tigress?" He sensed her presence move towards him, and finally sitting down beside him. The two sat in silence for some time before Tigress spoke again.
"Po, I know this past week has been stressful, but as one of your closest friends I am always here to talk." Sighing, she placed a paw onto his shoulder. "I know Shifu would always be happy to listen too." With that she got up and left Po to think some more.
After a few minutes, just to make sure Tigress was gone, Po stood up. It had been nearly thirty-five years since Po had joined the Furious Five, and he had learned a great deal from his master turned lover Shifu. His many years of training had calmed him down somewhat from his former self, along just with aging.
Headed out of the cavern from beyond the glistening waterfalls of Great China, Po began to make his way back towards the Jade Palace. Tigress was right. He needed to talk to someone, and that someone was Shifu. Walking through the kitchen he grabbed some food for him and Shifu. They needed to eat some time after all. Dew and universe juice didn't always cut it.
As Po reached the peach tree, and its little sapling, he laid the food he had taken from the palace onto the rock where he and Shifu had their first training sessions. This place brought back so many memories for them. Picking up the small bowl of rice for the red panda, Po brought his lover his offering.
Getting down on his knees, he laid the bowl in front of the stone that stood beside the tree, whose petals ornately fell onto the place where Po's lover lay. "I miss you Shifu," Po held back a sob as he continued to lay out his offering. "Oh, and happy birthday too."
