You wonder why,
I must say goodbye.
Reach out your hand,
Try to call out my name.
But I slash it away,
And the flinch takes too long.
I burn my eyes into yours,
Yet you stare back in numb disbelief.
You should be grateful,
That I leave you to your miserable life.
Or you should hate me,
Curse me as I fall. For the evils I've done.
I search your face,
And all I see is brotherly love.
Too quick your face is gone,
And I am left in darkness.
I try to understand.
Why you could not say goodbye?
