As I fell,
I saw the light,
It's beauty was unexplainable.
I had been searching,
I found it,
but, the cost was to great...
Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
When I wake...
Blood pools around my body,
could this be my blood?
I felt no pain,
could this be the end?
Falling faster,
Breathe new life into me...
I heard sirens,
not coming for me I assumed,
I was a criminal,
enemy to the state.
As my mask falls,
allow me to breathe one last time.
The sounds faded away.
The dull throbbing pain ceased.
My eyes, in which had been staring at nothing in particular,
lost their sight.
I was alone, and everything faded.
I drew one last shaky breath, then,
It was all over.
If I stay,
you won't be alone,
till I'm burnin' on the inside,
if I go I can only hope,
that I'll make it to the other side...
