Title: Daddy's Knows Best
"Kuro-chaaaaan..." whined Fai, lounging on the couch, arm out to one side lazily.
Looking over uninterested, Kurogane answered dully, "What?"
Jutting out his lower lip, Fai pouted cutely. "My tummy hurts...." he said sadly.
"It's because you ate all that frosting," Kurogane reasoned, turning back to his manga. This week's chapter was good and he didn't want to waste a minute of reading it.
"But Kuro-sama... I really don't think I--" his sentence was cut short as he suddenly ran from the room.
Then there was silence.
Looking up from his manga, Kurogane looked down the hall Fai had run down warily. The sudden silence could only mean something bad or the mage was plotting something evil. Getting up cautiously, he set down his manga, and started down the hallway, stopping at the sound of a faucet behind a door. "Oi," he said, tapping slightly on the door before opening to the sight of Fai bent over a toilet.
Fai looked over weakly at him and gave a shaky smile, his face even paler than normal. "K-kuro-puppy. I think I ate too much frosting..." he said pathetically.
Kurogane noticed the white grip of Fai's hands on the rim of the toilet, and the sudden spasm of Fai's back before he leaned over the toilet and vomited violently. Sighing, Kurogane knelt down beside him and held his hair out of his face gently. "Well I can't say you don't deserve it," he said gruffly.
Laughing weakly, Fai panted as he leaned over the toilet. "Maybe I should have listened then," he said exhausted.
"Damn straight," Kurgoane said, smirking slightly. They stayed like that for several minutes while Fai spat small amounts of vomit into the toilet bowl.
Then he suddenly went loose in and sighed. "Why does that drain so much out of you?" Fai asked weakly, his face turning towards Kurogane, eyes half shut, his smile loose.
Reaching over to the sink counter, Kurogane ran warm water over a small towel and wiped Fai's face with it before picking up the slighter man. "I don't know, ask the witch when you get the chance," he said shortly.
Looking up at Kurogane sleepily, Fai asked, "Where are you taking me Kuro-sama?"
"To bed, you need sleep," he said, reaching their shared room and laying Fai gently down onto the bed, drawing the sheets and blanket up around him.
"Daddy knows best…" he said softly, eyes drifting shut. His gaze almost tender, Kurogane moved the mage's sweat soaked hair off his forehead and turned to leave. "Kuro-wan?" Fai called form the bed.
Kurogane turned slightly to see Fai looking over at him. "Thank you," he said.
"Just get some sleep," Kurogane said gruffly, and left the room. Despite his rough time, Fai smiled, and rested.
A/N: Ugh… All I seem to be able to write is OOC… The beginning part was good, but the ending XP Ugh.
