"What are you doing?" Baby Mario asked as he noticed Dry Bowser was playing a game of pong on a small console in the middle of the scorched outskirts near Bowser's Castle to the east.
"Practicing my pong skills." Dry Bowser stated as he was concentrating as much as he could on his game of pong, with the electronic pong ball in the game going faster as he was timing his hits with the pong paddles.
"Why?" Baby Mario asked as he tilted his head, his red hat slightly going off.
Dry Bowser sighed as he watched the pong ball go over one of the paddles, turning his attention to Baby Mario. "Because I want to be in good shape for the upcoming tennis tournament."
"Ooh, sounds fun. Can I join in?" Baby Mario stated as he clapped his hands.
Dry Bowser shrugged, allowing the young form of Mario to test his might at pong, with Iggy Koopa and Petey Piranha watching from one of the many castle towers planted around Bowser's Castle.
"Hey, look at that... Uncle Dry Bowser is letting that baby version of Mario play with him!" Iggy exclaimed as he brushed back his tall green hair, his eyes bouncing back and forth like a pong ball. "I think he might be gearing up for tennis..."
Petey nodded as he was munching on some popcorn he had stashed in his red polka dot shorts, with the glasses wearing Koopaling turning to him.
"Well of course we're gonna go over there and ask if we could join in! Besides, I always wanted to partake in tennis!" Iggy exclaimed as he held a blue tennis racket, smiling. "Hopefully Larry won't mind this... he's too busy with that gassy mushroom gal! Heh!"
As Iggy began chuckling while Petey munched on popcorn, Toadette farted loudly as she casually walked down the hallway while being handcuffed, causing the two bosses to look at each other in confusion as they shrugged and resumed their mannerisms, while the flatulent girl fungi was trying to find a way out.
But Toadette's farting misadventure would have no relevance to the rest of the story.
