They think I'm so stupid, no intelligence to bear,

They think they can tell by my chestnut curls, or the clothes that I wear.

They think it's so useless to only bounce a ball,

But I've got a surprise for them all.

They think I'm so witty, incapable of thought,

They think I'm so crazy cause of the car that I bought.

They think they've they got it sorted, knows what goes on in my mind,

But they don't and they won't cause I'm one of a kind.

They think my life is not so complicated,

They think my times up but I replayed it.

They think it's so stressful to listen in on my conversation,

But they wouldn't if they knew I came from the rhythm nation.

They think I don't hear what they say about me,

They think I don't care if they continue without me.

They think I'm a player goin' around askin' "whassup"?

But I think they may understand if they knew I was mixed up.

Some say I'm black, others state I'm white,

I've got those who think I'm wrong and those who think I'm right.

I've got those who think I'm a hater and those who think I'm full of love,

But you know what? They all wrong cause I'm all of the above.

So while you're reading and don't know what to do,

Just give me a smile and color me Bleu,

Some want me to cause injustice and settle in court,

I won't, it's no fairytale, it's just the life of Chad Danforth.
