Kurt Hummel was back at his old stomping ground, McKinley High School, and he'd survived the day without getting a slushie facial or a locker shove... That was until the end of the school day when he was walking through the car park with his step-brother, Finn Hudson, his best friend, Mercedes Jones, and some other glee club members. He had heard his phone buzz so, getting it out and seeing the caller ID, which showed that his boyfriend was calling him, so clicking 'accept call' he put his iPhone up to his ear and answered with a massive grin on his face. He spoke to Blaine for a few minutes before realising that his phone had been, rudely, removed from his ear and thrown to the ground; where it was more then likely scratched. He was then shoved to the ground and could've sworn he'd gotten a bloody knee and when he finally became accustomed to the sunlight he blinked up and found his, still-in-the-closet, tormentor Dave Karofsky standing over him and laughing. He tried to get up and found that a shooting pain in his left knee was preventing him from doing so and so he slumped, pathetically, back down on the ground – within seconds however, two pairs of arms were hoisting him up and all but carrying him towards his car.
"Wait, where's Finn?" he asked meekly
"He'll be along soon, there is /no/ way you're driving home with your knee like that!" Quinn replied in a mothering tone, she was also trying to distract him from turning around.
Kurt smiled back at her, and turning to look for Mercedes his eyes fell on a site that left a rock in his stomach... Finn had Karofsky up against a car and it looked, to all intents and purposes, like he was threatening him and not in a good way either! His eyes widened and he made to run over there, completely forgetting about his knee, until Quinn and Mercedes yanked him back.
"Kurt, you'll only make your knee worse" they both cooed at him.
He sighed and rolled his eyes but let them lead him to the car and into the passenger side then, after they were satisfied that he was settled, they scrambled into the back and all three of them looked on in horror at the scene that was playing out behind them.
"Leave my brother alone!" Finn was screaming into Karofsky's face, who just jeeringly laughed back
"It's not my fault he chose to be a fag now is it?" he retorted back, spitting into Finn's face – which just incensed Finn more leading him to punch Dave Karofsky square in the face.
The three occupants of Kurt's Navigator gasped "OhmiGod!" they all exclaimed before scrabbling out of the car, Kurt mostly hobbling, and over to Finn "Are you OK?" they all started asking him
Finn looked at the three people around him and then back to Karofsky "What have I done?" he asked in a worried tone
"You stuck up for me again" came Kurt's honest reply before pulling Finn away from the scene and into the driver's seat
"Now c'mon, I am in desperate need for this knee to get seen to so step on it Hudson!" he chuckled, becoming more like himself with each passing second.
The girls and Finn smiled slightly at that and before too long they were driving to the Hummel-Hudson's home leaving Karofsky and the incident far behind them.
