"Yeah, Buffy, what are we going to do now?" Asked Dawn

Buffy smiled. She felt better than she had in a long time. She turned to the Scooby gang. On their faces she saw silent relief as the smiled at her. Relief. What a great feeling. They had saved the world. Again. But this time, it was for good. As she stared out into the city of Sunnydale, California, (which now looked like a canyon) She remembered all the times that she and her friends had saved the world. The Master, Angelus, The Mayor, Faith, Adam, Glory, Warren, Willow. And now - The First. Well, not that she could take all the credit. If it hadn't been for Spi-

Spike. Relief gone. Grief took it's place. The sunny day sunddenly looked a lot more cloudy. She sighed. She had loved him. Buffy looked around as she heard the squeaky sound of Dawn's shoes. Dawn hugged her harder than she thought possible, and they didn't let go for a while.

"You did it, Buffy!" Said Dawn.

Tears filled in Buffy's eyes. No, Spike did it. We all did it.

"No, Dawn. We did it!" She quickly hugged Dawn again, finally letting go and looking straight into her eyes. Buffy gave Dawn a start that made her feel proud.

"I love you, Dawn."

"I love you to, Buffy."

Buffy let go of Dawn and advanced to Willow, who was comforting Xander. She sighed again. Anya. They hadn't been what you would call best friends, but Anya had saved them a couple times, and Buffy had liked her. Sometimes.

"Xand, I'm so sorry!"

Buffy threw her arms around Xander. Willow joined the hug and once they let go Buffy held Xander and Willows hands.

"Thank you. I couldn't have done it without you. I love you, guys."

"I love you to, Buffy." Said Willow.

"Hey, Buff, we all love you. Especially me." Said Xander. Buffy could see tears glistening in his eyes. Well, ok, eye.

"Xand, your eye is crying!" Said Buffy.

"I'll be ok." He said with a forced smile. Buffy choked back the tears as she advanced to Giles.

"Xander was right, you know." Giles started. " We all love you."

Buffy threw her arms around him.

"Giles, thank you. For everything. Ever. On this planet. On this unive-"

"Yes, Buffy. You're welcome."

Buffy turned to look once more to look out at the…um…canyon. All the memories, all the years. Everything she had been through. Over. She looked at the rising moon as they all boarded the bus. We won.

Thanks! Tell me what you think!
