In the Mirror *~* Harry crept into the empty classroom and closed the door quietly before taking off the invisibility cloak. He walked to the far wall and took a close look at the inscription on the frame before he sat down and got comfortable.

It had been 4 months since he had last sat here and looked at his parents. Over the summer he started to wonder about his ancestors. Those thoughts started to come back to him as he read the inscription. In the back of his mind a fleeting thought said how happy he was that the mirror had been returned from the 3rd floor of the west wing after the sorcerer's stone was destroyed to the classroom where he now sat.

Harry gazed into the mirror a few moments before hazy figures started to appear behind his reflection. First he saw his parents, his mother on his left with her hand as always on his shoulder and his father, on his right with one arm around his mother. Behind them were the rest of his family, aunts and uncles grandparents, great-grandparents and cousins. Each face was vaguely familiar with similar features to others in the family; many had the same bright green eyes as Harry. There were also some with robes on and others had on muggle clothes.

The raven-haired boy looked into the mirror and smiled at his parents. They smiled back and Harry felt the warmth and happiness of having the parents he was denied all his life. He was content to sit here at night with the reflections of the ones he loved most even if they could never touch or have a conversation. Harry sighed with contentment and lay down still watching his transparent family. They silently watched him with love in their eyes as his emerald eyes slowly drooped and finally stayed closed. Slowly the members of the Potter and Evens families turned and faded away some giving the sleeping boy's form a last look, one silver haired boy stood apart from the rest. He gazed at the boy lovingly and before leaving he blew a kiss towards the slumbering boy.

Soon the door slowly opened and a figure walked in. He scanned the room and his eyes fell upon the sleeping Harry. The black robed figure carefully walked to the sleeping form and picked him up. As he straitened up he glanced in the mirror. A lone figure shyly waved at him. The silver haired boy looked sadly at the identical figure in his arms. With one last glance the Slytherin walked away from the Mirror of Erised.
