Laughter
I watch the darkness
Swirl and dance.
My mind wanders,
My heart begins to prance.
My imagination sees
A hallway full or mirrors
As I begin to cry
About my many fears.
What if school starts bad?
What if I cry in class?
What if I grow sad
As his face reflects off of the glass?
And as I look through my list,
The tears streaming down,
I freeze in mid-sob,
Hearing a single sound!
It must've been the angels,
Oh wow! It couldn't be!
Is he really laughing?
Laughing just for me?
