The Unknown

They were too different. They were never meant to be. She was she and he was he. He was a Pureblood. There was no greater magic than that in his eyes. Anyone else was meant to bow at his feet. She was too stubborn to adhere.

He always thought of himself as one of the greatest. His blood, which was not his choice, was all that mattered for so long. The suddenness of that pedigree losing its importance astounded him. He couldn't believe what had happened.

Love was just as stubborn and unwilling to adhere as she was.

She was not a Pureblood. She didn't want to be. That made her different from the others. She actually dared to look down on him for his blood. She was a hypocrite because of it. She was fine in the presence of other Purebloods. He simply set her filthy blood on fire.

They didn't know how it had happened. Time moved too fast for them to distinguish anything. Time was too fast. However, they also found that their separation was an issue. Time was too slow. Too fast when they were close and too slow when they were apart. Or perhaps they were thinking in the wrong way. Perhaps it was too slow when they were together; allowing for no excitement and minimal growth. Perhaps it was too fast when they were apart; forcing them to acknowledge that they were bad for one another and would only know happiness apart.

Time was their enemy. They wanted it and shunned it. They needed it and failed because of it. Their love was wrong. Their love was odd. Their love was never meant to have been brought into existence at all. They relished in it though. The secrecy and the lies were heart-breaking.

However, who wouldn't be curious of the unknown?

Author's Note: My Black Market couple! I am so happy to have a Black Market couple here! These works of mine have felt dull without them. I'm so happy to finally have one! Really, though, this is amazing for me. I'm so happy. Thank you for reading this and thus sharing in my happiness. I hope you've enjoyed my work and can feel my happiness too. I apologise if you were not satisfied and I promise that I will improve.
