A/N: Okay, this is a birthday ficlet for myself. Because I was bored and because my birthday is on Monday! It's short, but I like it.
Disclaimer: I don't own anything Glee-ish. Would be an awesome birthday present though..
…
Rachel felt like she could burst out in tears at any moment.
Not only did she receive a slushy facial from Karofsky, everyone at school seemed to have forgotten that it was her birthday.
Her 16th birthday. That should've been something special right?
Well, she seemed the only one to think so.
Because instead of birthday wishes and presents she got a slushie thrown in her face.
Even her dads' present, a trip to New York, couldn't fully justify that everyone had seemed to forgotten her birthday..
She came to the conclusion that they just didn't care.
…
Between second and third period when she went by her locker to change her books, a little piece of paper fell out.
Her curiosity was triggered so she picked it up.
2pm – auditorium – be on time
Rachel was confused, did someone actually remember her birthday? Or was it just a stupid prank?
The note wasn't very friendly, but she wanted to know who was behind it.
She decided to give it a go, it couldn't be worse than a slushie facial.
…
At exactly 2pm Rachel entered the auditorium. It was dark and for a moment Rachel thought someone was just pulling a prank on her.
Then the music started.
It was a piano, which played the notes of the Happy Birthday song.
A spotlight went on and was directed on the stage, on the person playing the piano.
It was Noah Puckerman.
To say Rachel was surprised was an understatement. Out of all people on school she didn't expect Noah to be the one to remember her birthday, let alone give her a present.
She made her way to the stage with a big smile on her face. Noah's eyes were concentrated on his hands on the keys.
When he finished the song he looked up to her.
He smiled.
"Happy Birthday, Rachel."
..
A/N: So, happy birthday to me? Haha.
