Victoire Weasley was not the kind of girl who barged in on a white veil occasion. She certainly never thought she'd be in the position she was in now. She snuck into the doors of the church chapel where Teddy Lupin and Maggie Bell, Katie Bell's daughter, were getting married.

The thing was, Victoire and Maggie used to be friends, kind of. They were never close, but she certainly didn't think that Maggie had the guts to go out with her ex-boyfriend Teddy Lupin days after they broke up, and she certainly didn't think Maggie was that desperate to get married a year and a half later, either. She definitely didn't deserve Teddy. Why had he said yes?

Victoire looked around the room and spotted some of her friends around the room, and Maggie's family in the corner. She heard shouting from a back room, probably Maggie, screaming about how the bridesmaid dresses looked like a cake. She was glad she wasn't stuffed into one. She saw out of the corner of her eye that Katie Bell was eyeing her. She looked up and Katie began walking over, presumably to talk to her.

"You're Victoire Weasley, right?" Katie asked.

"Yes, I am," she replied.

"Well, it pains me to say this, but Maggie doesn't want you here," Katie said to her. Her words cut through her like a knife. How dare she uninvite her to this wedding? She stormed to the door of the chapel and pulled her wand out of her boot, casting a disillusionment charm on herself.

As the organ started to play, she began to daydream about what would happen if she just interrupted this entire wedding ceremony. Would Teddy be mad at her? Would Maggie hex her? She shook her head and countered the disillusionment charm. The ceremony began and Victoire sat down on the far side of the chapel, so that Maggie couldn't see her. She saw Teddy, his eyes blue, his hair purple, the color that it turned when he was scared. She wished she could run up and hug him, but she knew she couldn't.

Time whizzed by, and Victoire heard someone vaguely say "speak now or forever hold your peace".

She knew that this was her one and only chance to get Teddy back, to stop this wedding. Everyone went silent and she stood up, shaking, took a deep breath and began to talk so fast she couldn't control what was coming out of her mouth.

"Okay, maybe I'm not the type of girl who barges in on white veil occasions, but you're not the kind of boy who should be marrying the wrong girl, Teddy. Don't say yes, or 'I Do', or anything, just run away now, I'll meet you when you're out of the church at the back door. Don't wait, don't say a single vow, because I still love you. You need to hear me out," she said.

The whole chapel was silent. Victoire could tell some people were staring daggers into her, but all she could see was Teddy. His ever changing hair, his beautiful eyes. He took a deep breath before he responded.

"Let's run away now. I'll meet you when I'm out of my tux. I'm so glad you said that, that you were here," Teddy said, running out into the back room. Victoire ran out the chapel doors and around back. Teddy must have used some of his magic to get out of that tuxedo, because he came out moments later in his muggle clothes, a t-shirt and jeans, the laces of his running shoes flopping back and forth. He smiled at her and pulled her into a tight embrace, and when they pulled apart, he kissed her, hard.

"I'm so glad you were there," he said to her, "I don't know if I'd have been able to handle Maggie, she really can be a handful. But you never were. I've always loved you," he said, and she knew he meant it.
