He's Gone
"What do I do now?" Bolin looked into the soft and compassitant eyes of Asami. "How do I go on without my big bother?" Tears rolled down his cheeks.
"You just do." Asami spoke around the lump in her throat. "You just do."
Bolin covered his head with his hands as he moured the death of his brother Mako. "I should have been able to save him." He whimpered.
Asami wrapped her arms around the young man and pulled him against her chest. Tears of grief rolled down her cheeks. She had just learned that Mako didn't make it through the battle with Kuvira ... that Mako took the lighting deep inside him and just couldn't release it before one of Kuvira wild shots at Korra hit the young man straight in the chest. What could she say to this grieving young man in her arms ... as she also was grieving for her father's death.
"I hope Korra takes Kuvira's bending away ... and locks that she witch up for the longest time." Bolin growled as he pulled away from Asami. Anger fresh on his face. "Kuvira simply can't be running free ever again after the lives that she took away."
Asami sighed. "That's why you and I aren't welcomed at Kuvira's trial." She thought of Korra's hard stance on this firm decision of hers. Her mind drifted back to her father ... she knew that Korra had to take this firm stance where her and Bolin was concerened. After all Kuvira deserved a somewhat fair trail after all.
"Don't let your raw grief enter your heart for all time Bolin." Asami looked into Bolin's hot and angry eyes. "Trust me it's not worth holding on to anger or hatred against your enemies."
Bolin opened his mouth to burst out. But he shut it. He breathed in deeply before speaking. "It hurts too much right now 'Sami. I just lost my big brother. The brother whom was more like a father to me after our parents were killed when we were small children." Tears rolled down his cheeks. "But I know you are right and that in time my raw anger against Kuvira will fade." He fully knew that Asami was dealing with her own grief over her father's death ... that Asami has to deal with her past anger and hatred for her father once she learned that her father allowed hate to enter his soul after the senseless and tragic murder of her mother when she was a mere child.
