Everything has been Rewritten. So I would read everything again, so you know what is going on. Gomennasi I just didnt like where the story was going and so... yeah. I like this newer version better. I hope you all do to.

"Sasuke?" Itachi asked walking into his little brother's bedroom. Itachi looked around the dark blue room. All he saw was the unmade dark blue blankets on his little brothers bed, the dark oak wooden dresser and desk, the white closet and bathroom door, and clothing scattered around. "Sasuke. I know you're in here, you can't hide from me forever." Itachi walked into the room with a small smirk on his face. "You have to take you bath sometime don't you?"

"No! Don't make me Onii-San!" a small yell was heard from the closet. Itachi walked over and opened the door smiling softly at his younger brother Sasuke.

"Tell you what. If you take a bath I will let you play with my friends and me tomorrow. " At this Sasuke's eyes brighten and he nodded running from his room into the bathroom.

"Okaa-san, I told Sasuke-Kun that I would let him play with me and my friends today." Itachi said while he was helping his mother, Uchiha Mikoto make breakfast. His father, Uchiha Fugaku, was on a business trip for his company, Uchiha Powers. They have many small businesses from watch shops, to Computer shops, to construction agencies, the company runs them all.

"Itachi, I promised the Namikaze family that we would have lunch and tea today. I would really like you and your brother here for that. They are bringing over their son, Naruto who is about Sasukes age. Onegai. " She asked looking up at Itachi. He had stopped rolling the dough for the dumplings.

"Alright. Hai. I will tell the guys and Sasuke that we will have to reschedule…"

"Thank you Itachi. I will make it up to all of you ok. I promise."

"Guys. I have to cancel on you." Itachi said into his phone. He heard everyone groan.

"Why Itachi? We don't get to play much and you keep canceling on us…." Kisame said slightly angry at him.

"I promised my Okaa-san that I would help her out today and I forgot. I'm sorry guys. She said she will make up for it though. – No. You cant have beer Kakuzu. But she said we can have the basement any time we want now."

"Fine. We will com by tomorrow. See you them Tachi." He said hanging up the phone. Itachi sighed and did the same.

" Tachi-Onii your not gunna play?" Sasuke asked form behind him. Itachi kneeled down and motioned for him to come over. When he was close enough Itachi flicked his forehead and smiled. Sasuke glared and rubbed his forehead.

"I cant. Kaa-san planed a play date for me and you with Namikaze Naruto. He will be here in an hour, Kaa-san said that we can play tomorrow in the basement. I promise Sasu-Nii." Sasuke huffed childishly and folded his arms looking away. They then heard the door bell ring. Sasuke ran to go and get it. he opened it to revile the Namikaze family. He bowed to them.

"My name is Uchiha Sasuke. Its nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you Sasuke-kun. I am Namikaze Minato. This is my wife Kushina and my son-." Sasuke looked at Naruto as he started to speak. He went wide eyes seeing the angel before him.

" I am Naruto! I like Orange and Ramen, foxes, playing video games, and walking in town at night with my Otou-san and Okaa-san." Naruto said with a big happy grin on his face. He was surprised to find, as he looked at Naruto closer the big blue eyes staring at him. Naruto had on a orange shirt and black pants with orange and black shoes. The boy had sunshine blond hair and frowned when Sasuke kept looking at him without saying anything. The light dulled in the little blonds eyes before he looked away from Sasuke.

"Sasuke, are you going to let them in?" Itachi said softly with a small.

"Oh! I'm sorry! Onegai come in…" Sasuke said with a small blush and opened the door wider so they could come in. Naruto started to look around. There was a grand stair case that led to the upstairs guest rooms. There were paintings and pictures of the Uchiha Family. Red carpet was under his feet. Naruto didn't like the place that much. It looked to old. Like a castle.

"Hello Minato, Kushina, How are you both doing?" Mikoto said with a smile walking into the room. " Sasuke. Itachi. Why don't you take Naruto out back and play for a while?" She suggested to her two sons. Sasuke and Itachi nodded leading Naruto out back. " Lets go into the kitchen."

"Hai." Minato said walking in with his wife.

" Are they still after you?" Mikoto asked getting the tea off the stove, pouring them some in the fine China cups that were made for her and sat across from Kushina looking worried.

"Hai. They are and we fear they might go after Naruto soon. I cant let them hurt him. If anything happens to me and Kushina I want Kakashi to take him in. He is 18 now going on 19 this summer. Still a kid, but I wouldn't- cant give him to anyone else. He is the only one I trust with Naruto now. Everyone else that has been taking care of him, he always comes back hurt in some way. " Minato explained while Kushina sipped her tea quietly.

"I see. Naruto could always stay here." Mikoto said looking at Minato. She saw how Sasuke looked at Naruto and knew that they would end up together in the future or be like brothers. Either way she was perfectly fine with Naruto being one of the Uchiha Family. Her husband might need a little convincing though.

"No. Its to dangerous. If he goes with Kakashi, then he will get his name changed and move somewhere else with him. He will be young enough it wont be that hard to make friends. Plus where ever they go no one will hate Naruto because they wont know who he really is"

" But if 'they' know that Kakashi has him, then wont they follow them, where ever they go?" Itachi said leaning against the door.

"Itachi! You are suppose to be outside! What are you doing here?" Mikoto said standing up. She didn't know how much of the conversation her son had heard, this is classified stuff they were speaking of. They were all in danger just talking about it around her table.

"I was coming in to get my old baseball gloves and balls. We were going to play catch and I was going to ask you where they were when I heard you talking. Someone is out to get Naruto?" Itachi explained in a emotionless face. Minato sighed and nodded. It was no point in leaving the kid in the dark. He knew to much already.

"Yes. Me and my wife work for the FBI and a killer, who I thought was dead, is back in our lifes, threatening us, and are now after Naruto."

"I wont let that happen. Even if Naruto went with Kakashi, he wouldn't survive."

"How do you know? Your only a kid." Kushina said softly.

"I may be a kid, but at the age 10, now, I am considered a genus. You haven't thought everything through." Itachi explained sitting down by his mother.

"Itachi….. what do you think they should do?" She asked him.

" Ready or not here I come~!" Naruto shouted and started to look for Sasuke. Sasuke

He will never find me here. Sasuke said up in a tree. Itachi has been gone a while so they decided to start playing on their own.

"Sasuke~! Where are you?" Naruto called out. He was starting to get scared being all alone in the huge backyard. It had been more the 10 minutes since he started searching for Sasuke.

He's afraid? Sasuke said frowning. He jumped to the ground and walked over to Naruto. "Naru-chan. Your crying…. You don't need to cry. I will always be here to protect you." Sasuke said hugging Naruto. Naruto hugging him back. He had never felt this way with anyone his age. They always beat on him and call him name.

"Pr-Promise?"

"Hai. I promise from the bottom of my heart. I will always protect my Fox."

( 3 years later. Naru/Sasu are 7 and Tachi is 12. )

"When will they be here Itachi-Onii? They are late." Sasuke said looking out the window.

"I am sure they will be here soon." Itachi said. Did something happen to them? Did that assassin strik sooner then we planned? I hope Naruto is ok….. Onegai let him be ok.

( 3 hours after suppose arrival )

"Okaa-san.. They still aren't here." Itachi said into his phone. He only has one because his parents are gone all the time and he has to watch Naruto and Sasuke most of the time. He didn't mind though. He often took them with him when he wanted to hang out with his friends. They counted both Naruto and Sasuke as their brothers to.

"I'm sure they will be there soon Itachi… when were they suppose to come?"

" Two o'clock." There was silence on the other end for a while. Itachi knew that his mother was worried. Naruto and his parents were almost never late. If they were they would call and let Itachi know.

" And they didn't call saying- hold on. I will call you back ok?" They hung up.

( 6 hours after suppose arrival. Still no call from the Uchiha's or Namikaze parents. )

" Tachi-Onii. Is Naru-chan ok?" Sasuke said as he was getting into bed. Itachi was baby sitting that night with a few of his friends. They were going to sleep over on Itachi's request. They were all in Itachis room. Sasuke always got the bed and the rest shared the floor. Itachi cared for his little brother more then anything and the rest knew it. He would usually have to baby Sasuke and Naruto, he didn't care. He loved spending time with his brothers.

"Hai Sasuke. He will be fine. Something just came up, I suppose and they couldn't call us." Itachi said. It had been raining heavily all day and the wind was now blowing as hard as the rain was coming down. They could barely hear each other. Itachi's bed room was on the top floor so you could really hear the rain outside.

"Hai.. Night Tachi. Night Fish Sticks. Night DeiDei, Night Saso, Night Kuzu." Sasuke said laying down closing his eyes. He sighed softly pulling up Itachis red blankets and snuggling his pillow. He always liked Itachi's bed better then his own.

"Night Sasu. Sweet dreams." They all said at once.

( Break. 3:00AM. )

BOOM!

" Ah! " Sasuke yelped and sat up falling off the bed shaking. He hated thunderstorms. Sasuke would usually wake up to Itachi holding him tight and then he could get through it. But Itachi wasn't there. There was a light shinning though the crack on the door. He quietly got up noticing that no one was in the room with him. He grabbed one of Itachi's lighter blankets and walked out of his older brothers room glad that the door didn't make a sound and continued on through the hall until he saw lights on in the living room and he could hear voices. He walked quietly over and heard what they were talking about.

" …. They were in a car crash. Minato died on impact, Ku-Kushina died at the Ho-Hospital a-and so-so d-did Naruto." Mikoto choked out. Sasuke slammed the living room door open his eyes wide and the blanket and storm forgotten.

" Y-Your ly-lying! H-He cant die!" Sasuke yelled tears running down his face. " I-I do-don't be-believe you!" He screamed. Itachi went over to him and hugged him tight. Usually Sasuke would hug him back, but Naruto was to important. He couldn't be dead. They made a promise to always be there for each other. Sasuke couldn't live without him. Sasuke yanked away from Itachi ignoring the hurt look on his face. " I-I'll pr-prove it!" Sasuke screamed and ran out of the house into the pouring rain, running down the driveway and down the streets towards Naruto's house, ignoring the calls and yells behind him.

You cant die Naru-chan. I promised that I would protect you. You cant die. You cant. YOU CANT DIE NARU-CHAN! Sasuke screamed over and over in his head. He couldn't get it through his head that Naruto was dead. He didn't want to believe that his best friend was dead. If he was dead then he broke his promise that was made so long ago. He didn't know where he was going. But he felt colder then the rain and air that was hitting him, more cold then the coldest night in winter. He was shaking from more then the rain. He couldn't see much through his tears or the rain, but he could find Narutos house even if he was blind. He was running blindly through the rain, the shouts for him long gone. He finally came to a stop at the Namikaze household that was about 5 miles from his own. He saw a few fallen trees on the ground from the wind beating so heard against them. Some windows were broken but no lights were on.

"NARUTO!" Sasuke yelled, his voice barely being heard over his raw throat, and the wind and rain. " NARUTO! WHERE ARE YOU?" Sasuke yelled crossing his arms over his chest. The storm and running were getting to him.

"Sasuke." Sasuke expected it to be Naruto to be the one that hugged him from behind. When he looked back it was Itachi. He had followed him all this way to make sure he was alright. To make sure that he wouldn't get killed. Itachi knew that people were out to get the Uchiha family and they usually killed or captured the youngest to get money or other things from them, it happened before and he wasn't about to let it happen again. He didn't care that he was soaking wet or that he would get sick because of the rain. Sasuke was coughing roughly now, from the rain and coldness and from running all this way. Shear will power had brought them both here without stopping.

"Sasuke….. Sasuke!" Itachi yelled as Sasuke went limp in his arms. Itachi saw his mothers car and got in holding Sasuke close, frowning his own tears falling. Itachi told his mother to wait to pick them up, he didn't know that Sasuke would be able to run all this way. He didn't even think about the cold as he was running to catch up to Sasuke. Sasuke had a 6 minute start. Itachi was arguing with his mother, he needed to be the one to reach Sasuke first. He knew it was stupid to run the whole way there but he knew Sasuke wouldn't get into the car unless he passed out. Itachi knew Sasuke almost as good as Naruto. His parents didn't even know what Sasuke's favorite food or anything about him. Silent sobs filled the car as Itachi clutched his brother holding him tightly to him. He had lost one brother today. He could not, and would not lose the other. He would protect Sasuke. He would protect him until his dying day. Whether Sasuke wanted it or not.
