AN Note: Hello everyone, I just wanted to publish this poem. Even though it has no names directly in the content, it is pretty well-known that it is between Sebastian and Ciel at the end of the 1st season. I hope you all enjoy Please drop me a review and tell me how I can improve!
The Fate Becomest of a Little Child
Wearily he sighed, bright eyes undaunted and strong with resolve.
Despite his determined aura though, his heart flickered.
Uneasiness clenching his stomach he felt he was going to throw up.
A taller figure loomed over the distance, face hidden by the stars.
It's ok to rest after a while, you know.
Sometimes, it is better to stop than to make needless actions which will give unrequited solutions.
Take heed of my word for you, one who has known of only the darkness of the moon will eventually fade
By the pale glow of the rising sun.
The cracks of your being which has been sewed back together in a mishappen shape,
Is ever so slowly coming undone,
The seams loosening and leaking the stuffing of what it once was before.
It is good to know, young one, that the Sagely Father of Time is unmerciless and cold;
When one has been broken to only have their pieces adjoined back togther,
Slowly but steadily, like the ebbing of the tide,
The dam will eventually crack once again,
Leaving smaller fragments than what was originally in its place.
Understand this; the ones who cry out of salvation always have saviors who are more mangled than themselves,
Hiding behind their facade of deceit and silence.
Promises and pleads for help, they are what lead humans into the barren wasteland of nothingness, is it not?
It will hurt you know.
It will feel like your heart has transformed into ice, unfeeling,
The breath you once had has been relinquished from your control.
However, one's life span passes by rather quickly once you reflect on all of your nonsensical endeavors.
Unfortunate as it may be, you will only realize this once you close your eyes for the last time,
And see the world in its entire brilliant colour.
It is ok to rest after a while, little child.
I will be there waiting for you with open arms,
Beckoning for you to follow after my fading shadow.
Its a lot like coming into the world, dying is.
Innocent and meager as you may be you open your eyes for the first time and seek out a simple truth,
Thoroughly covered between a web of lies.
Now my love, let us reseal your open wounds,
Let us close your eyes.
Let us find your sought after truth.
It's ok if you are frightened,
They all are by the face of the unknown.
So now, little child, will yourself to die.
For me.
