Plot:
Ellie finally meets the real perpetrator of the clickers fiasco. An appearance wise, unaged former MSS agent/intel agent, turned inventor. Overwhelmed by guilt, she makes an attempt simply to bring Gabe back just for the sake of Gabe being well again, not romantic or anything, however, 6 years into the experiment, an accident occurred in her lab, the og clicker emerged from an accidental chemical spill, it knocked its creator unconscious, broke out the underground facility, and caused an evening of havoc, wiping out 90% of the world overnight, in a placid evening in 2013. Lian Xing, former war hero, now a traitor and survivor but antagonist who just no longer have the guts to be responsible, on the run, for 26 years. Things are not looking bright for 19 year old Ellie as well, she has lost Joel, and have been on her own in the open, or in some wrecked up shed since 5 years ago.

So eventually, on Ellie's journey, she uncovers Lian's old info, as she was suspicious of her behavior, as if she was hiding something, and one day, she caught Lian confessing via phone to old friend Teresa. She stated she felt guilty, but at the same time fearful that this tough girl she had with her was going to take the hard way. Boy, Ellie was appalled appalled. She knocks Lian to the ground, breaks her phone, and points the gun at her. Lian, in the heat of the moment, stood back up and pulls out a shotgun and tries to fire, however, Ellie has jammed the gun, as well as the other firearms Lian had in her belt. While Lian kept screaming the sh word, Ellie screeches at her that that isn't going to help. She then pulls out the 9mm she has stolen from Lian, while remarking that ironically, the only gun not jammed ended up being Lian's, and fired at a tearful Lian's cranium, killing her before she hit the ground.
