Rain and Moonlight
I lie there helpless. Me, the protecter of my village. They depended on me, and I didnt do anything. They're all gone. Rain starts to pour on my fevered body. I cant move. Why did they do this? We never did anything to them! As I lie there, I stare at the rain. It feels good against my fevered skin, and wounds. My vision blurs for a moment, and it fades.
Sonoskae walked home, with his hands jammed in his pockets. He glanced at the river, where that sword had been thrown. Rain began to pour, and he ran under a tree for cover. He continued walking, until he noticed something under one of the trees. He slowly walked over to it, and examined it. It was a little girl, with red hair the same color as Kenshin's. She had many cuts and bruises, and was breathing heavily. Her face was feverish. Cant her leave here, he thought. He slowly picked her up and made his way through the forest once more.
The rain never let up, so he decided to take her to the closest place, the dojo.
He passed through the gate, and made his way into the dojo. He stopped in front of the dining room, where they were having dinner. They all looked up at him. "Sowose, at pen?", Kenshin attempted to ask through a mouth full of noodles. Kaoru stood up and demanded, "Sonoske! What did you do to this girl?!" "I didnt do nuthin missy! I found her outside in the rain!", he retorted. "What girl?", Megumi asked as she walked in, wiping her hands with a dish rag. "Sonoske found her outside.", Yahiko explained. Megumi walked over to her and looked her over. She walked down the hall ,and motioned for Sonoske to follow. He obeyed, and everyone else followed too.
Sonoske set her down, and Megumi wiped her face with a cloth. It revealed a scar going from her ear down the curve of her face. Megumi wiped the blood off her arms, and there were many bruises, along with a deep scarfrom her elbow down to her wrist. Megumi patched her up as best she could, the covered her with a blanket, and set a cloth on her forehead. Then they all walked out of the room.
They spent the next hour talking and finished eating, but were inturupted when a mysterious person passed by in th hallway. It was that girl. She walked by that room, then realizing her mistake, popped her head back in. She slowly walked in and smiled. (Like this ^.^)
