Synopsis: Spock and Christine are...er... interrupted by the Captain and Dr. McCoy.

Christine's soft blue eyes met Spock's chocolate brown ones, and she stood closer to him, so close that if either had moved, their bodies would brush together.

"Spock?"

"Yes T'hy'la?"

She smiled. "I love you."

His rare, half-amused slight smile appeared, and his face hovered mere centimeters from hers. "I love you too, Christine," he whispered in a voice that sent shivers down her spine.

Her eyes closed in anticipation, and seconds later she felt his lips softly caressing hers. Her hands clasped around his neck, and his slowly around her waist, and they were so caught up in their kiss that it took them over a minute to realize someone else was there.

Captain Kirk cleared his throat, and Dr. McCoy barely suppressed a grin. They had watched Spock and Christine kiss for what seemed like an eternity. They broke apart, and when they realized just *who* had been watching them, Christine's face turned crimson, and the tips of Spock's ears, along with his cheeks, deppened several shades of olive green.

"Well, um, Miss Chapel," Spock began, trying vainly to contain some semblance of normalcy, "Thank you for your...cooperation. You may return to your duties."

Christine's eyes met his once more. "Yes sir." She nodded respectively toward the three men, two of which appeared to be having trouble breathing correctly, and practically dove for the door leading into sickbay.

"Well, Spock," Captain Kirk began, and Spock turned to face him, his face returning to a somewhat normal color. " I see you and Nurse Chapel have been...quite busy together." Dr. McCoy's grin won the battle, and his face broke into a wide smile.

Spock rambled on, trying to explain somehow without causing himself and Christine more undue embarrassment. "Well, Captain, Chri--Nurse Chapel was attempting to, uh, explain to me another of the...human aspects of , er... well, um....."

Captain Kirk waved his hand absently. "Never mind, Spock. Your needed on the bridge." Spock nearly ran out of the room, extremely glad to be away from the Captain.

Doctor McCoy turned to Kirk, both wearing identical grins. "Well, Jim, I suppose they won't be doing that again for a while."

Spock stopped in front of the tubolift and turned slightly. He could have sworn he'd heard echoes of laughter emanating from the room he'd just left. He listened to see if he could hear it again, but was met with only silence.
