Sasuke could feel his heart beating fast, faster than when he had been in fights and even faster when he found his brother killing his parents. Yes, the beat of his heart was fast, yet still in tune with another. He could hear the sweat slid down his temple as the anxiety exploded in his veins, the blood rushing to every part of his body. With this person he was alive.

Naruto breathed in and out, in and out as he felt his heart match another. He was so close to him, so close to the edge of something brand new, something neither boys have ever felt before. And both were teetering on the brink just waiting to fall together. Naruto could hear each pulse as he listened to each steady beat, not waiting through the madness of what they were, what they had. But living through it. Yes, with this person he was alive.

They wrapped their arms around each other and breathed in the moment. Together. They finally finished the fight of endless probabilities, they defeated the impossibles and created their own visage. They made their own possibilities to live and to feel, to be. Each path they chose will intertwine together, for they can't stand being apart again. For with each other they will linger.

These moments will linger.

Sasuke gripped Naruto closer towards him, and Naruto nuzzled his head into Sasuke's chest. Sasuke breathed in Naruto's sent whispering his love. He gently let go and gave Naruto his heart, no matter how torn and battered it was.

"Be careful with it."

Naruto just smiled and gave him his heart, "Same too you." Quietly Naruto whispered his love too Sasuke. And they're love may be different, but it's still love. Sasuke's maybe warped, Naruto's maybe dysfunctional, but it was for each other. So it was okay, because they had each other to understand it with.

For their love made them feel alive. Something Sasuke hasn't felt in a long time and something Naruto was never sure of.

But now, for each other they live.
