Endless Night.

Four weeks after the death of Jiryara has passed. It is night time in the village of Konoha. Standing on a small bridge was Naruto Uzumaki. Naruto was still in a daze of the death of Jiryara. He felt alone, and betrayed. He looked up at the sky, remember what Jiryara had once told him. That if Naruto ever felt alone that Jiryara would also be there, and he just have to look up at the stars. (I know it sounds gay!)

Where has the starlight gone?Dark is the dayHow can I find my way home?

"Jiryara, I don't know what I'm suppose to do? I'm so lost." whispered Naruto. As he looked up at the sky.

Home is an empty dream

Lost to the nightFather,

I feel so alone

"I thought of you as father." Naruto put his hands in his pocket and started to walk to Jiryara's grave. A few minutes later he arrived at Jiryara's grave. Naruto bent down and frown.

You promised you'd be there

Whenever I needed you

Whenever I call your name

You're not anywhere

Naruto touched the engraved on the tombstone. He looked at the picture of Jiryara that was left in front of the stone. "I don't understand. You promised me, that you will be my side always. You swore that you would be there whenever I need you." A tear slid down Naruto's face. He quickly wiped away only to find more coming. "But you're not here anymore."

When will the dawning break

Oh endless night

Sleepless I dream of the day

Everyone in the village could tell Naruto wasn't getting any sleep what-so-ever. He had dark circles under his eyes.

When you were by my side

Guiding my pathFather,

I can't find the way

Naruto closed his eyes as the tears continue to fall. "When you first started to train me. I finally found someone who stuck to my side. But now you're dead!" yelled Naruto. He slammed his fist against the tombstone. Not caring if his hand started to bleed.

Whenever I needed you

Whenever I call your name

You're not anywhere

I'm trying to hold on

Just waiting to hear your voice

One word, just a word will do

To end this nightmare

"I try to live up to your teachings. Well most of them." laughed Naruto. "But…t..t I can't. I keep thinking I'm going to hear your voice, and then see you standing in front of me telling me that it was joke."

I know that the night must end

Naruto looked up to see the sun slowly rise. He stood up and wiped all the tears off his face. He took a deep breath and looked back down at Jiryara's tombstone one last time. "I swear on your grave, Jiryara. I will do everything I can to protect Konoha. After all I am going to be Hokage one day!" promised Naruto.

As the sun rose all the way up. Naruto looked away from the tombstone and looked at the Hokage mountain. He smiled and started to walk away from Jiryara's grave. His spirit renewed, and ready to face the world again.
