I sit at the top of the ridge into hell
To gaze into the great expanse beneath -
The crevices that protected us, held our lives together .
This is where we stood and fell, amongst these stone walls
We fought together, loved together and rose from our tattered existence as the strong
Heading down past the stream to the bridge of the hermit
To his last work, to his own story that so closely skimmed against ours
I lie by the stream dipping my toes in with the cool droplets kissing at my feet
I reminisce, lie at this spot with visions of the world we knew
To those who fell I will never let go - your constant words in my heart
Chris
Robyn
Corrie
I will carve the names into the tree that stands in hell -
One of the tributes to the bravery that surrounded you
And you surrendered to.
