A/N: Songfic drabble for Writing Challenge #3 on the "Bellatrix Lestrange: The Dark Lord's Most Faithful" forum. It's 100 words exactly, not counting the lyrics, title, or this A/N.

Prompt: Choose a song that you feel relates to the Death Eaters and their families, or to the HP world in general. Write a 100-word or 500-word drabble inspired by the song. It might be a good idea to provide the lyrics that inspired you.

Breakable

"Have you ever thought about what protects our hearts?

Just a cage of rib bones and other various parts

So it's fairly simple to cut right through the mess

And stop the muscle that makes us confess

And we are so fragile

And our cracking bones make noise

And we are just breakable, breakable,

Breakable girls and boys."

-"Breakable" by Ingrid Michaelson

The next morning, Bellatrix imagines she can see through her paper-thin skin. How strange, that what looks so solid can be so fragile, breakable. All it takes is a spell, a knife, a potion – and it's done.

Later, Rodolphus tells her that her blood traitor ex-sister now has a half-blood daughter with a stupid name. Bella orders him not to tell Lucius (not to tell Cissy) and Rodolphus refuses.

And then she's holding her wand to his throat and all she feels is power, a spell on her lips that will crush his bones.

"Bella," he says, and she stops.
