Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto or the Morganville Vampires series. It's a good thing too, because I'd make everything happy rainbows and sunshine all the time. ;D
Basically, this is a crossover between the Naruto world and the Morganville Vampires world. There may be a few odds and ends from different books thrown in here and there. The Isis character is one I always see in all my favorite shows and books and such. She's modeled after the Egyptian Goddess, Isis. :)

The winds in the field howled, whipping her hair around as she called on the ancient powers running through her blood. The skies blackened and thundered. Lightning streaked across the sky. Slowly, the form of the ripped apart man was pieced back together and once more, given life. She smiled in triumph. "Yes."
Isis had felt the Toad Sage's death the moment it'd happened. She was near heartbroken; she'd been rather fond of Jiraiya. But she knew she didn't have time to grieve if she was going to bring him back. So after his battle, she retrieved what was left of poor Jiraiya's body and brought it back to her home. Trying her best not to take in the sight of his broken body, she began working at piecing things back together, literally re-growing the parts she hadn't been able to find, and after all that was done, pulling his soul back from the Underworld. It was all very tiring, but easier than it would have been had he been dead for a long time.
He was resting in one of her guest rooms now. He was, more or less, in a coma. She'd induced the coma herself. She knew he'd need to rest a while so he could get used to his body again. He hadn't been dead for too long before she'd brought him back, but he would still feel a bit off trying to move around in his body again. Well… he might feel weird, but at least he's alive, she thought.
