Neko Hideyoshi is kind. Hinata quietly pondered why she thought this about the black haired girl. Neko, Hinata decided, was the kind of girl who would find a little bird that had hit a window and would try to nurse it back to health. She would cry if the bird died and would cry if the bird lived.

Neko Hideyoshi is understanding. Hinata knew this because of the relationship Neko had with Gaara no Sabaku. Gaara was going to propose to the girl next Saturday. She had been able to see and accept his past.

Neko Hideyoshi is very aware. The first time she met Hinata she knew she had a crush on Naruto, that she had a low self confidence, and that she was very shy. Neko could see the crush Neji had on Tenten and the joy Sasuke felt when Sakura cheered him on. And she could even see Naruto's love for Hinata when he didn't even know it himself.

Neko Hideyoshi is very oblivious. Yes, for as much as she is aware she is also painfully oblivious. She didn't see the adoration her teammates felt for her. She didn't feel the intensity of Gaara's stare when she first met him. She didn't hear the fear that wavered in her own voice when ever she had to go into battle.

Neko Hideyoshi is protective like a mother is for her children. Neko had stood in front of Hinata during the Chunin exams when he had gone in for the killing blow. She defended Gaara and Naruto when others called them monsters. When others whispered their disappointment in Sasuke's leaving and their rage when he returned she stood with Sakura and Naruto by his side, taking the blows with him.

Neko Hideyoshi is fragile. All her life her family and her village had called her bad luck until she believed it herself. She had stayed away from people for the fear that she would cause them harm. She was cracked and barely holding together when she came to Konoha for the Chunin exams, when Hinata and the others first met her.

Neko Hideyoshi holds herself below everyone else. She stood in front of a killing blow when her teammate, Katsu, was in trouble. She had even told Hinata how she felt about herself. 'Neko?' 'Yeah Hina-hime?' 'Why were you so willing to save Sakura when you could have been killed? N-not that I'm ungrateful…' 'Because she was important to people.' 'B-but you're important too!' Neko had just smiled sadly and looked away.

"Hina-hime!" a hand waved an inch from Hinata's nose.

"Ah!" Hinata jumped and looked up at the black-haired girl in front of her.

"Where you daydreaming Hina-hime?" Neko's pretty yellow eyes flashed teasingly.

"Just thinking Neko-chan."
