I'm back! I've been in a creative funk, but I'm starting a new writer's group which might get the juices flowing! Hope to update my other stories soon!

She walked into Will's office intending to ask him about a case. One of the ones he was allowed to consult about. She found him standing near the window, watching some kind of a mob scene outside.

"What's going on?" Alicia asked him.

"Ben and Jerry's has free ice cream today. There's a line around the block. People are like vultures. They'll stand in line for an hour for a damn scoop of ice cream. You'd think they were passing out fifty dollar bills."

"You have way too much time on your hands these days. Listen, I need to ask you about something…."

Will had that gleam he got in his eyes when he suddenly had a crazy idea. She recognized that from back at Georgetown.

"Let's go! Let's join the massive horde out there, and get our free ice cream! What do you say?"

"I'd say you have all the time in the world, and I have work to do," Alicia replied.

"You do get a lunch break, you know. As your boss, or former boss, I order you to get ice cream with me."

She laughed. She missed laughing with Will. "Okay. But that line better be moving fast."

She walked with him to the elevator, noticing how Diane was watching the two of them together as they walked past her open office door.

They waited in line for forty-five minutes. When they finally got to the front of the line, a chubby redheaded girl with a friendly face greeted them.

"At least your arms are getting a workout today scooping all that ice cream," Will say to her.

The girl laughed. "My workout usually consists of sitting at home on the couch, and eating this stuff. So what'll it be for the lovely couple?"

Will choose the old stalwart, Cherry Garcia. Alicia picked something called Chocolate Therapy. A mish-mash of chocolate ice cream, cookies, and chocolate pudding.

"I guess the twenty dollar tip you gave her negates the free ice cream thing," Alicia said as they sat on a bench outside devouring their ice cream cones.

He shrugged. "They're kids. They work really hard for crappy pay."

"You're a really good guy, you know that Will?" Alicia said.

"I miss you Alicia. What's been going on with you?"

She didn't want to talk about all of that. She simply wanted to sit here in the warm sunshine on a spring day in Chicago, and enjoy her ice cream.

"I had a chance to buy my old house back, but I couldn't come with enough for the down payment. Then Jackie…. I really prefer not to talk about this. My life is a mess, Will. Be happy you're not involved in it anymore."

He took a napkin, and wiped a spot of chocolate from her face. Even now, the light touch of his fingers on her skin made her shudder.

"We better go back inside before they come looking for us," Alicia said.

When they got off the elevator, they found Kalinda, Diane, Eli, Julius, and David Lee there ready to confront them.

"What are you all looking at? We just had ice cream, that's it," Will said.

Alicia mouthed 'thank you," and gave him a knowing smile as she retreated to her office.
