So I got back into watching Fairy Tail, and decided I very much like the ship of Gray and Angel. I'm not sure why I even like it, but I guess those few intimate moments between them and when Gray says that Angel's way of speaking is cute I just kinda lost it and thought "Fuck I ship it omg". I'm a multishipper so I ship pretty much everything, but some pairings I just like more than others and this is becoming a ship that I seriously love for some reason.

But anyway!

Pairing: Angel X Gray

Plot: What would happen if Gray asked Angel out right after they verse each other and he saves her from herself?

~Start~

Angel sits on the ground, staring at the ice left behind everywhere as Gray stands ahead of her. He watches as the angel-monster finally disappears into thin air, making hideous noises. Gray turns around to look at Angel, who stares at him. She listens as he talks, replies when she has too. Then he comments that he thinks her way of speaking is cute.

Angel's mind flashes back to when her own angel was devouring her and how he leaned over her and tried to make her understand the way she was living. He then saves her. Angel remembers how close they were and that she felt her heart beat quicker than it ever has, and although she has never experienced this before, she knows exactly what it is. Love.

She knows in those few minutes with Gray, the Fairy Tail Ice Mage, the enemy, that she has fallen in love. A blush appears across her cheeks as he says her way of speaking is cute. She looks down and clenches her hands in her lap. She can hear Gray's footsteps coming closer to her and he sits down beside her. Angel doesn't try to move or make any gestures. She just stays quiet.

"When all this is over, do you maybe wanna grab some dinner one day?" Gray asks quietly, as if not to scare her. Angel lifts her head and stares at him, before nodding.

He smiles and pulls her into a hug. This was new. She doesn't recall ever being hugged before. It's a nice feeling. Gray is an Ice Mage, and although his skin is cool, the blood that runs through him is warm, and hugging him feels like holding a water bottle that has been left in the sun all day and has a warm feeling to it yet the outside is cold.

They stay there for a few minutes before Gray whispers that he has to go and help Natsu save Lucy. Angel doesn't want him to go, she doesn't really want to be alone at the moment, but she lets him leave since he really only came here to save Lucy. He stands up on holds her hand, telling her that he'll come back and get her when everything is done and if he's still alive.

They say their farewell partings, him leaving her with a kiss on her cheek and a tight hug. "Stay safe"'s were passed between them and they went their other ways, to reunite once everything was over and the fighting had stopped.

So yeah, this is completely short and crappy because I'm tired and I'n not really sure how to write for this pairing, since (for Fairy Tail) I'm really only used to writing Gray x Natsu and Gajeel x Natsu, as well as Midnight x Cobra.
