Neliel Tu Oderschvank had never found anything interesting before.
After coming to the Soul Society content to find Ikkaku, she had come across a captain and fought him not long after coming across him. She didn't know what to think.
"Don't come back, Arrancar." The captain's icy voice had hurt her. Neliel had no time to think about it. She had something to do. Protect Ichigo from Aizen.
"Ichigo--!!!" Neliel jumped on him.
"Ahhh!!! Nel!" Ichigo got her off. "What is it this time?"
Neliel sighed. They had been dating for two months and yet he seemed to be closing off to her. What was she doing wrong?
"Ichigo, did I do something wrong?" Neliel asked, tears forming in her eyes.
"Nel, it's best if we break it off now. We aren't going anywhere. And I'm in love with Rukia now." Ichigo said. Neliel sobbed once, and then ran off.
"NEL!!!" Ichigo cried out, but Neliel didn't listen. She needed to be alone.

"Toshiro, it's plain and simple. You're too small." Rangiku said.
"How many times have I told you to call me CAPTAIN Hitsugaya?" Toshiro asked. Rangiku took no notice as a green-haired woman ran by the place where she and Toshiro lived with Orihime.
"Isn't that the Arrancar Neliel?" Rangiku asked. Toshiro sighed.
"I'll go see what she's up to. And why in hell is she in a gigai?" That question, though, will remain unanswered. I don't even know how Neliel got in a gigai! Confusing!
Neliel ran as fast as she could, coming to a stop at the park where she and Ichigo shared their first kiss. She sobbed gently, sinking to the ground. Toshiro came up behind Neliel.
"Neliel Tu Oderschvank?" He asked. Neliel looked over.
"Toshiro..." She whispered.

"That bastard." Toshiro said. "He dumped you like that?"
Neliel nodded. "He loves Rukia better than me." She sighed sorrowfully. "I don't know what I did wrong. I did everything a girlfriend is supposed to..."
Toshiro put a hand on Neliel's shoulder. "It'll be all right, Neliel. I'll make sure no one hurts you again." (Forgot to mention the rain. Sorry!)
Neliel looked at him and smiled sorrowfully. "Thank you, Toshiro."
He smiled back. "I'll protect you from now on, Neliel. You can count on that." He kissed her and patted her shoulder. "Don't forget we have school tomorrow. I'll see you there."
"Okay..." Neliel nodded. Maybe now it wasn't such a bad idea to date someone new. After all, she had thought that Toshiro was cute... from the first time she saw him.

I have never written a Toshiro fic before, except for one that included zombies and was in an alternative universe. Neliel is new to me, so it will take a while for me to get used to her. And yes, they go to school. Ichigo's school. And no, I don't know how Neliel got in a gigai. Only that she doesn't have her mask while in the gigai.
This is my first NelHitsu fic, since I didn't see any on the site. :) Yay for Neliel and Toshiro!!!
