A/N: I doubt anyone has noticed my absence, but I feel horrible for having been so inactive for the past... ever. I apologize. Here's an angsty little ficlet to make up for it. Hope it doesn't make your eyes bleed too much. Now, off to pretend I can write again!
OoOoOoOoOoOoO
Leorio regretted it, as soon as Kurapika walked away. It was stupid; Why did they need to fight? There was no reason for them to argue. Well, no reason for me to argue, he thought, admitting to himself that he'd probably gotten too worked up over nothing.
And that was usually how it was. Leorio, always the more affected by his emotions (he didn't know how the blonde could always manage to keep his cool like that), would get upset over some stupid little issue that obviously meant nothing to Kurapika.
In this case, the stupid little issue was work. Leorio wanted them to spend more time together-- Kurapika insisted that he could not just skip work for the sake of hanging around with his lover.
"I promise we can spend some time together, some other time," he had said.
Leorio had sighed, not quite angry, not quite resigned. "You always say that, but when's that time gonna be? It's always 'some other time' with you! Time isn't infinite, you know!"
Kurapika had just shook his head. "Soon, ok? I just really need to go to work now. It's important."
More important than me? Leorio had wondered dejectedly.
"I love you, but I have to go." He'd offered the tiniest smile, more of an affectionate habit than an act of actual happiness, as he turned and walked off.
Leorio felt absolutely horrible, and the worst of it was that he knew that Kurapika was right. Kurapika was always right… And Leorio was just too emotional. Too clingy. Too in-love to ever want to let his partner go…
