It was a cold day in Central. The wind was rushing by the golden hair of a boy the age of fifteen. This was no ordinary boy; he was the youngest state alchemist, Edward Elric. A tall, walking piece of armor was following him. The walking armor was the boy's younger brother, Alphonse. He is only fourteen. They were walking down the street to Roy's office with Ed's new report. Today seemed normal enough but they boys' lives were about to change.
"For the last time, Al, I'm NOT going to drink milk for any reason, even if it might make me taller! I just can't drink white liquid secreted by a cow!" yelled Edward throwing his fists everywhere.
"But brother, it's really good for you and it's…Ed? What's wrong?" Al asked as his brother suddenly stopped dead in his tracks.
"I don't know. I feel like someone's watching us. Someone that's not human." Ed said as he looked behind him. He had felt eyes looming over him for a while but they seemed closer than ever now.
"Hmm, maybe I was wrong. Let's go Al. We've got to go to see that bastard, Mustang." He said and started to run.
"Coming, brother!" said Al running after Edward, his metal armor making a clanking sound every step he took.
In the distance were two pairs of yellow eyes watching the boys go. Their black tails flickered, their ears twitched, and their white paws had claws extended. They were cats but not your typical black cats. One was taller than the other. The smaller one had an Ouroborous tattoo on its left ear the other had it on its right.
"What do you think, Anna, are they the ones? They match the description perfectly: a blonde shorty and large, walking armor." asked the taller one.
"I think so, Kita. But just to be sure, let's experiment first." said the smaller one with a grin on her face.
"Heh, I like the way you think, Anna. I've been ready have some fun for months now." laughed Kita.
They had been looking for those brothers for a while now. A few years ago Kita had asked Anna how she was going to find out if they thought she had found them. Anna said she had a plan, a good plan. After she told her, Kita rolled on the floor laughing. Said it was the best plan ever with the best cat in town to do it.
The next day they read in a newspaper that Edward Elric had become an official state alchemist at the age of twelve. The article had a picture of him and Alphonse so they had an idea of what he looked like. They heard around the grapevine where the Elric brothers had been and where they will be. It seemed like forever since they had started looking and with their search over it seemed like it was impossible for them to find the brothers so easily.
The cats jumped off the roof they were on and started to put their plan into place. The poor Elrics had no idea what was coming.
