It was late afternoon on Olympus, and the sun was soon setting on the west. The clear blue sky soon started to fade into darkness, with the stars flickering on like fireflies. The moon soon made her grand entrance, over shining her companions. Poseidon clenched his jaw looking grim. His glare bore into the wall next to him, his fingers firmly gripping his trident. He was not in a good mood, that much was clear.

Zeus had ordered him to watch his son while he went out. What he was doing and why? Poseidon personally didn't give a damn. Besides, where in his description was he supposed to be a babysitter? He was a god for crying out loud! No, he was Poseidon! God of the seas, father of horses, he was even the mighty earth shaker! Why the hades was he ordered to watch one of Zeus' children!

Poseidon let out a deep breath he didn't realized he was holding. If he could destroy the wall with just a stare, and he could, he would have. Only he didn't feel like getting on Hera's bad side. Her anger scared him sometimes. Not that he would ever admit it. Glancing up at the sky, he wondered what everyone else was up to. It was only himself and his nephew on Olympus today and from a second glance at the sky, it was pretty late.

How long has he been rating to himself? Must have been long if it is around midnight now. Poseidon didn't understand it but sometimes Zeus drove him up the wall. It was be for the simplest things at that too. One day he would just love to smack that little grin off his face and chuck him off the mountain. He was pretty sure Hephaestus would love the idea…

Poseidon soon was startled out of his thoughts when a hand touched his arm. Turning around, he found large blue eyes looking up at him. They were teary, widened with a look of fright in them. He ruffled the smaller boys, curly blond hair. It seemed he still wore the band of wings on his head. His caduceus however, must have been left at his little shack of a home.

Poseidon's features softened, his voice turning to a soothing way instead of his previous anger. The younger boy's ruby lips trembled, as if trying to find words. His trident disappeared, turning into a small pin that appeared on the right side of his toga. He then leaned so he was at his height and placed his arms around his nephew. The small boy whimpered, burying his face in the crook of his neck. "It's okay, Hermes..." Poseidon whispered. "It was just a nightmare."
