Summary – He was gone, and she was alone. Utterly alone.
Alice is the property of Lewis Carrol and maybe SyFy, I don't know. :P
They had just finished moving into their new house. They had been sitting on their couch, enjoying some chamomile tea, and watching a movie, when the Suits kicked their door in. Hatter sat up swiftly, and moved protectively in front of Alice. The Suits advanced toward them.
"No! Stay away from her! Just take me, and leave her alone!" Hatter's voice rang in her ears. "She didn't do anything!" Punching one of them in the face and slamming him into the other.
She watched as the one suit standing smashed Hatter's head into the wall of their living room, causing his tan leather hat to fall to the ground. Now unconscious, Hatter slumped to the ground, and was lifted up by the other Suits. They shuffled out the door and left as soon as they appeared.
Alice stood and ran after them as fast as she could, watching as they lifted Hatter into a white van and slammed the doors. She had barely reached the van before it started up and drove away.
"Hatter!" She screamed after it. Then, an idea struck her. The Looking Glass! If she went in after them, she'll be able to go after them, and get Hatter back.
She raced toward the part of town that held the warehouse where the Looking Glass was located. She dodged people strolling around in the last summer evening, and reached the warehouse. Luckily, it wasn't anywhere near finished, and she hoped that it was even the same one she had ran into three months prior.
She sprinted in, frantically searching for the van or any sign of the Suits. She heard a faint shuffling, and ran toward the sound of muffled voices. After turning a corner, she came upon the three suits, struggling with a now-awake Hatter, who soon caught sight of Alice.
"Run, Alice, run away! Don't worry about me, I'll be fine!" The Hatter called to her, Laughing Nervously at the end.
A suit looked behind him, and upon spotting Alice, spoke into his wrist.
"She's here, we can't risk her getting through. Seal it off, we'll be right there." Alice was puzzled. Seal what off? And with that, they shoved Hatter through the shiny glass surface, then stepped through.
And they were gone.
Alice ran to the mirror, preparing to jump in. She had to hurry; Wonderland time was different than her world's. A minute here could be three weeks there, and vice versa. She raised a foot and swung it through.
Her foot hit glass. She tried again, and her foot just hit the glass of the mirror. It wasn't working. She then realized what the suit said. They sealed the mirror. She couldn't go through it anymore.
She screamed.
Alice sat up in bed. She looked to her right, and encountered a pair of dark brown eyes, currently laced with worry and concern. She launched herself at him, clinging to him as she peppered small kisses all over his face and neck. He smiled.
"Another nightmare, Alice?" Hatter questioned. Alice just nodded and her kisses reached his mouth. His hands flying to her waist.
Hatter couldn't say he was happy with Alice having these horrible nightmares, but he did like the after effects.
