A/N: So I was kinda bored and was wondering what it was like when Killua did his first kill...then it sorta led on to Illumi loving his siblings and wanting to control them. Hope you enjoy this! Oh, and I also posted this on my Quotev!

Red. All he could see was red.

Everywhere. It was everywhere. Scattered all over the pallid, white walls, and now on Killua's tiny hands. He felt sick. Why was it so red?

"Killua?" he heard a distant voice call. It was cold and unnerving with no ounce of life - that was his brother Illumi. He would've shuddered, but he was long gone.

He had killed someone. Was that what it was called? He had heard it all his life. He knew it was bad even though his parents acted like it was special. He didn't want to hurt people. He didn't want to kill.

So why did he do it? Why did he kill an innocent person? Why, why, why?!

"Why?" Killua muttered to his older brother. When he got no response, he turned to face the cold-hearted teen. "Why did I kill him?"

Illumi's face remained blank, but his actions were another story. He grabbed Killua's silver hair and slapped the boy across the cheek - hard. Killua felt like crying, but scolded himself. He couldn't cry. He wouldn't. Not in front of Illumi. "Don't ever regret killing, Killua," he spoke coldly. His dark, unfeeling orbs seemed to gaze deep into Killua's soul and terrified him to the core.

Suddenly, realization dawned on Killua. His blue eyes turned dark as they glared at Illumi. "Why did you make me kill him?"

Illumi raised his eyebrows ever so slightly. "I did?" he asked in a condescending matter. He kneeled down to Killua's height. "You killed him. You could've stopped. You decided to follow my orders, as usual. Because killing is in your blood."

Killua shook his head desperately. "No, no, no! I didn't-I don't wanna do this anymore!" He broke down into tears.

Illumi hugged his brother. Not because he was ordered to, not because he wanted to, but because Killua was his little brother. He couldn't help it - whenever his siblings were sad, he was sad. That was why Illumi tried so hard to control his siblings in order to control his emotions.

Once Killua had calmed down, Illumi shoved him away. "This was your first kill, but certainly not your last. You'll get used to it eventually."

With that, Illumi left a seven year old Killua standing in the middle of the dark room where the now dead man had attempted to sneak into the mansion.
