The Night's Game
Well, I've always meant to write some bleach fanfiction, though I haven't written any fanfics for over 4 years I hope I haven't lost too much of my writing abilities.
This story will be an AU. This first chapter will be just giving you a jist of how this world is set up. I hope to get this updated on a regular basis, and any comments on improvements or compliments would be appreciated.
Summary: Welcome to a world controlled by ghosts, demons, and other supernaturals. The most dangerous thing to be is human, even more so if you are a gifted human. Orihime knows the hardships of this world, but she is stolen for a dangerous Shinigami's game will she be able to survive? UlquiHime AU
Prologue:
My world is not a place were humans are welcomed, no sir, we are the scum of every one's boots. Once a long time ago humans were supposedly the most predominate race on Earth, at least that's what I have been told. But there was a virus, one that whipped out the majority of the population. The survivors of this plague only numbered in the thousands, but it was enough to keep the race alive and many had hoped to begin anew. Sadly enough having survived one tragedy they where left to a new one. Now you might have been one of those people who believed that there were no such things as ghosts, demons, vampires, and other such mythical creatures, but as you will find out (as the survivors did) that they were never gone. These creatures had hidden themselves from humans for centuries, for humans in such vast numbers are deadly to such creatures, but now they had their chance to reclaim the world. The creatures soon over ran what little there was left of humanity, systems and governments where created with humans being the bottom of the chain. Many were forced into slums, others bought and sold as pets and slaves.
Then there are the rich humans that have bought the services and favors of high classed Shinigami with the price of their soul. These creatures look mostly like us humans, but no, they are of the highest classes of ghosts, gifted with powers that we can't fight, and most of the other races around here can't either. These guys are the top of the food chain in our society, though their numbers are lesser than that of some of the races like the vampires and demons. Demons though are the only ones that the Shinigami are afraid of, well, the strong demons I should say. But for the most part they leave each other alone as long as they stay in their respective territory. Shinigami live in the UpperDay, the place were we humans use to be plentiful, what use to be our world. The demons stay in the UnderNight, a dark world suited to their race, filled with souls and evil things.
Back here on UpperDay it isn't too much safer for humans. It is only safe to go out in the light of day, never ever must one go out if one does not want to be a meal. Vampires and werewolves always find it a special treat to have human as a dinner, with our few numbers the have had to switch to eating and sucking the blood of animals and each other. In the day light some supernaturals do live and tolerate us. Were-creatures that aren't flesh eaters, and dragons are the kindest, sometimes hiring us to do remedial tasks, or if you are beautiful you may even be taken in as pet. Most humans just try to scrap by, living in the outskirts of desolate lands, trying to avoid the supernaturals. Humans are scum, they are dirt, they are the trash of this world... At least that is if you are not gifted....
