After New Moon but before Breaking Dawn:
A steak through thy heart . . .
Set the scene: At Charlie's house. Starting in Bella's bedroom. After New Moon but before Breaking Dawn:
Bella's POV
"Bella I am going to make you dinner tonight." Edward told me. He got up from my bed, where he was sitting next to me and went down stairs.
"Edward this really is not necessary. I can cook for myself." I told him as I followed after him.
"What do you want to eat?" He asked me.
"I am not hungry, Edward. Why don't you go hunt, your eyes are pitch black? I can cook for myself tonight." I said.
" How about steak?"
I didn't answer.
"I'll take that as a yes. You should probably get started on your homework, by how heavy your backpack was today you have a lot."
"Let me guess. You are already done with yours." I accused.
He smiled his crooked smile, and I stuck my tounge out at him. I got up from the kitchen table but tripped on a chair leg. Edward caught me before I hit the ground and I blushed. I stomped up the stairs and grabbed my trig. book. I stomped back down the stairs and sat on a chair in the kitchen.
Edward put a plate out in front of me that had a piece of steak and a small salad. I cut a piece of steak off and put it in my mouth. Edward sat down across from me and waited for my reaction. I chewed the piece in my mouth, without looking up to see his face. "Oh my God, Edward." I exclaimed.
"What?" He asked in a worried tone.
"What did you do to this steak? It is so dry." I replied as I spit the piece of steak into my napkin. I looked up, into his golden eyes. "Did you go hunting?"
"No . . . When I was cutting some of the steak a drop of blood dripped onto my hand . . . and I got thirsty." He admitted.
I rolled my eyes. "So you drain my dinner?"
