A/N: This was un-beta'd so all mistakes and whatnot are mine. I woke up in the middle of the night and this needed to be written down. There's no dialogue; it's a little angsty, maybe a bit depressing and disjointed but its supposed to be like that, so I hope you like! Feel free to leave a comment if you read, concrit is welcome.

~ "This is Logan with today's inspirational message; never mistake knowledge for wisdom. One helps you make a living; the other helps you make a life. Sandra Carey." BEEP ~

He knows that she doesn't tell him everything, but he's pretty sure he prefers it that way.

He knows that when Wallace comes down from L.A. the smile is real and she's truly happy.

He knows that she doesn't wear the ring at work; it hangs from a chain around her neck, hiding under her shirt.

He knows how many steps he'll take from the kitchen table to the liquor cabinet.

He also knows that the liquor cabinet is useless; there has never been alcohol in it nor will there ever be. They bought it because it matched the cupboards.

He knows that when they go to Neptune she visits Backup's grave with her dad.

He knows that she has two different ways of saying both "fuck" and "God"; one each in exasperation and in ecstasy.

He knows when she hears the word "beaver" she goes pale for a split second; just long enough for him to notice.

He knows that in the third drawer down on the right, way at the back, there is a hot, little, red, lacy thing that she is saving for his birthday.

He knows that Keith still doesn't like him, but ever since that night he's trusted him.

He knows that she hates guns, especially when they're pointed in her direction, but she keeps one in the car when she's on stakeouts, just in case.

He knows that she knows where her mother is, that she's alive; he doesn't know if she'll ever do anything with the information.

He knows that if he twists his fingers just right, he'll hit the right spot and her body will go rigid for a few seconds, and she'll melt in his arms.

He knows that she doesn't like it when Dick shows up, drunk, again; but she helps drag him into the spare bedroom anyways.

He knows that she only pretends to hate it when he sends flowers to her office because she always comes home with a smile and he can still smell the lilies.

He knows that she helped Weevil get out of prison and that somehow Liam Fitzpatrick took the fall for Thumper's murder. She left Kendall out of everything, probably because she's technically the only family that Dick has left.

He knows that it doesn't take as long to make her come after a fight as it would on any other day.

He knows that she visits Mac whenever she's in San Diego and that Mac hasn't coloured her hair since she was 18.

He knows that when Weevil told her he was going to open a tattoo shop, she made him promise she would be his first; she got a lily on her left hip.

He knows that she's afraid to say yes because yes means forever and she's not ready for forever yet.

He knows that if he asks her for a third time she'll either give in or leave, so he keeps his mouth shut and waits because he's afraid that she'll leave.

He tells her he loves her everyday, even though he knows that she has trouble saying it back, because she's afraid that he'll leave.

He knows that it doesn't make sense in anyone else's heads but theirs.

He knows that everyone thinks he's crazy, that he waits for her with no promise or commitment in return, but he knows that eventually she'll turn around and know that he's there, and always will be. He knows.
