I sat in the car, waiting for him to come back. I thought about Troy, about how he was at home... Thinking about me, missing me. I had a wave of regret wash over me, but it soon passed, as I saw Chad walk out of the Minimart.
The rain was beating down hard, and Chad's clothes were soaked. When he reached the car, he gave me a smile and a quick wave, and my heart melted. He was perfect, but so was Troy... What was I going to do?
'Hey' he quickly said as he climbed into his old truck. Neither of us said anything, you could cut the tension with a knife. We both knew that what we were doing was wrong, but I couldn't stop seeing Chad. He was like a drug, I needed him. The silence surrounded us, a blanket of nothingness.
I had to stop the silence, so I switched on the radio. The static crackled for a minute, but soon cleared up.
'And that was 'Ne-yo, closer'; next up we have a very emotional song from Rhianna... This is unfaithful...
The Silence was filled with Rhianna's soulful voice. Gabriella listened closely, and with every word Rhianna sung, the future became clearer.
