But with you, I can feel again.

-Onerepublic

Reyna was too damaged to feel anything. Her home had just been destroyed by the blonde girl and the boy with the jet black hair and sea green eyes. Her sister and she had been forced to part ways, after they had been held hostage by pirates for months on end. Outside of Circe's island, they attracted too many monsters. They separated to save each other's life.

When Reyna first reached Camp Jupiter, she was completely and utterly alone. The praetors, Mila and Chris, had tried to show her around and send her out with some guides, but she kept wandering off somewhere and getting lost, breaking down. Mila and Chris were lenient with her because she was so new and grief stricken, but she knew that she would have to get a grip soon. She had explained what had happened to her, and Mila was sympathetic. That was how she'd gotten to camp, too. During the second Titan War, Hyperion had destroyed her neighborhood. She had no family left. At least Reyna had Hylla. But where was she?

But then she met the blonde kid, Grace, she heard the other legionnaires call him. But she soon learned that his name was Jason. At eleven years old, he had already been there for nine years. He could've easily been a praetor, or at least in the First Cohort, as he had seniority over every kid at camp, even Mila and Chris. But he always denied leadership, which wasn't very Roman of him at all. Reyna almost immediately took a liking to him. He was the only guide that she made an effort to keep up with.

Jason understood what Reyna was going through, even though he had never experienced it himself. Jason didn't know his family. He had never known them, as he'd been at camp since he was two. He took Reyna on tours every day, and did her tasks that were assigned. When she was put into a cohort, he stood for her to enter the Fifth.

One day, Jason was walking her along the Via Principalis, when he just stopped and sat down on a bench. Reyna took a seat next to him, and asked him her first question.

"What's wrong?"

He sighed. "I'm being shunned because I'm helping you. They say that Romans are supposed to find their own way. But I can't just leave you to figure it all out. I'm seeing what these legionnaires are really like, and I'm also finding out what I'm made of. I'm helping you because that's what friends are supposed to do, right?"

Reyna knew that she had a real friend, then. She smiled, and said "You can count on me because I can count on you."

Jason smiled widely, and asked her "So, how do you like camp?"

"Everything is so…different. When I first got here, I was so lonely and stricken by grief. My home was destroyed. My sister and I were forced- forced to separate for our own good."

"I'm so sorry."

"I couldn't feel anything. I was numb everywhere I went. I was a lonely soul, but that's the old me. But with you, I can feel again."

Jason laughed. "I helped you a lot more than I thought."

"Jason," Reyna began. "You helped me more than I could help myself. You are better than this whole camp put together."

When Jason stood up and hugged her, Reyna felt like she could fly.

This is the second oneshot I've uploaded today! Yay! I came up and with wrote all of this today, so it's probably not my best work. It's not nearly as long as 'Painfully Intense', and might not be as good. It's a sort of songfic based off of 'Feel Again' by Onerepublic. I love that song, and I thought that Reyna and Jason could apply to it. This is for my Jeyna shippers, and I'm a mediocre one at best. I support their friendship, but I am Jasper when it comes to romance.

Please enjoy! Read and review!
