This is a one-shot fan fiction. I got the inspiration when I was decorating the Christmas tree, alone. I have two sisters too, and I'm decorating it alone. –Makes a face-

Piper slowly gathered some more ornaments into her hand as she slowly made her way towards the 5 feet tall Christmas tree which had been in the Halliwell household for almost a decade. She sighed as she looked at Wyatt who seemed very delighted with his new "toys". She looked around at the house. It seemed too quiet to be true.

She recalled the times when she was just 7 years old and Prue and Phoebe and Grams were all around the tree. They were happy and enjoying every moment of decorating the tree. Piper remembered when Prue accidentally tripped Phoebe who was then stringing popcorn. She laughed at the thought of Phoebe's face, which was stuffed with popcorn.

Just one year back, the house too was filled with love and joy. At least her sisters and husband were around to help her decorate the tree. Even though Prue had died, they found Paige. Leo was there to float around to decorate the entire house. It was probably the best Christmas tree decoration she ever had. At the end of the day, the house looked beautiful.

Piper smiled as she recounted the events.

Then she reflected on what had happened this whole year. How she had gained a child but lost her husband. How her sisters tried very hard to have a normal life. How they wanted to be with their respective boyfriends. Now, she was alone in the manor, only with Wyatt for company.

It was not that Wyatt was bad company but the manor seemed too quiet for it to be joyful. Phoebe had left for Hong Kong to celebrate Christmas with Jason while Paige was probably at Richard's house. Piper regretted saying yes to their requests but it was not like she could stop them either. They were grown women and could make their own choices.

Somehow, Christmas just didn't seem like such a joyous holiday anymore. Piper felt that there was something lacking. She had no idea what. Decorating the Christmas tree this year had somehow turned into a chore.

Then Piper realized

She felt lonely.

She longed for company. Piper sighed as she picked Wyatt up and hugged him. He was all that she had at that moment. Wyatt was oblivious to what was happening and happily orbed his toy into his hand while Piper hugged him.

Suddenly, she heard a sound.

The sound that she had gotten so used to over the past years.

The sound that she longed for.

The sound of someone orbing in.

She turned, half-expecting to see Paige but desperately wanting it to be Leo.

She was right, there in front of her, stood Leo.

Wyatt laughed happily when he saw his father while Piper stared in awe. This was probably the best Christmas gift she could ever get.

"Leo? What are ya doing here?"

"The elders were having fun doing the ugliest decorations possible. I realized that I missed decorating the manor with you. I realized I missed you."

Leo said as he slowly made his way to his family and gave them a big hug.

Piper hugged him tightly, not wanting to let him go.

Suddenly, decorating the Christmas tree did not seem like a chore at all.
