WOW. It has been an extremely LONG time since I have written a story about anything. With school and sports, and Covert Affairs not being on, I didn't really know what to write about.
BUT now, I have been watching my new second favorite show, Bones, again, and I can't believe I almost forgot how much I love the show. So I got a little bit in the mood to writing a story about those two, because I'm geeky like that. ;)
So, here it goes. My first Brennan-Booth fan fiction! ( It begins from the newest episode that has been on. )
Temperance Brennan could not stop thinking about what her father said to her when he visited. She couldn't understand how her father expected her and Booth to get together. He was in love with her at the wrong times, and the other way around for herself.
Lately it seemed he was all she could think about. Since she admitted that she loved him on that car ride, she couldn't think of anything else.
She always thought to herself things like, "Get over him" or "You're such a mess."
Even though she knew these things, she couldn't get over him.
Booth's situation was even worse.
He could only think of her. And he had a girlfriend! A serious one at that. One that kept him and Brennan apart. When Booth's mind would wander, like all peoples do at some time in the day, he would be picturing being married to Brennan. Having kids with her. Living in a big house, with a dog. And the two of them would be the FBI and doctor duo that fought crime and saved the world.
He never told Hannah about this, because, he loved her. Or he thought so anyways.
When Brennan told him that she doesn't gamble, and their relationship wouldn't work out, that was letting him down easy. She didn't have feelings for him, and he couldn't change that. So he couldn't feel bad about seeing someone else.
Even if the feelings weren't completely gone.
But when Brennan just SUDDENLY realized she was in love with him, it broke is heart. What was he supposed to say? He loved both of the girls. He loved Hannah, he was with her.
But he also loved Brennan, and has always wanted to be with her.
So he was torn between the two women he loves, and he didn't know what to say. So he told Brennan that he loved Hannah, and that she wasn't a consolation prize.
He never said he DIDN'T feel the same way to Brennan, it's just that if he told her "Oh, I love you too Brennan, let me just go break up with Hannah for you", everything would go out of wack.
He loved her, she loved him. They both know it, but they both know they can't at the moment.
But by the way the two of them looked at each other when she had that conch shell, he hoped it wouldn't be too long.
So…? I feel a little rusty, I haven't done this in a super long time. Let me know how it is!
