"Jordan?" Nigel saw the pretty brunette heading quickly for the morgue exit.
Jordan stopped, but didn't turn around.
"James is still alive, Nige. I need to find him."
"He almost killed you last time, love. It's not a good idea."
"I know it's not a good idea. But dad isn't here anymore, and James -"
"You don't know he killed your mother, Jordan."
"But even if he didn't, he knows who did. I need to do this, Nigel. You of all people should understand."
So he let her go. But not alone.
Not this time.
