"This is not our fight, Leo," said Raphael.

"I've heard that before," smiled Leo softly.

"I was right before, I'm right again."

"I don't think so."

"You don't think so? Leo, Karai tried to kill you, many times. Who's going to try and kill you this time?" Raved Raphael.

"If I remember correctly, you saved the day most of those times. So stick close and I'll keep breathing," said Leo, his smile growing wider.

Raphael growled at his brother's response. The fact that he was smiling made it all the worse. "Leo, what do we know about investigating?"

"Think of this as widening our skill base." Suggested Leo as he crouched down next to the body of the homeless man. The dagger that had killed him was still protruding from the heart.

"This is a bad idea."

"You've said that already," said Leo as he stood up to look around the alley.

"I felt it needed saying again." Raphael couldn't believe that his brother was actually considering this. Leo always needed a reason to fight. The Foot, the Purple Dragons, Bishop. They all wanted to kill them; they all threatened the people they love. But the murder of these homeless people? Yeah, they knew the Professor and those on the island, but this person and the one before were nobody to them. It was a police matter. Why did Leo want to get involved? Then it hit him.

"You're bored."

"Excuse me?" said Leo looking back to Raphael.

"You're bored. Karai went back to Japan, took the Foot with her. Hun is incarcerated, the Purple Dragons are practically disbanded. Bishop is missing. You've got nobody to fight. You're bored." He was smiling himself now.

Leo turned away from his brother, he really didn't want to answer that question. He crouched down at the end of the alley, looking at the cracked concrete. "Something heavy landed here."

"You didn't answer my question."

"I know." Leo looked up to the roof of the building that enclosed the alley.

"So I'm right. You are bored. Mister Ninja-master has nobody to fight so you're going looking for one."

"I am not a master," said Leo as he jumped up onto the fire-escape.

"Where are you going?"

"Up."

"Up, he says," muttered Raphael to himself as he followed Leo to the roof. Leo was already crouching down by the ledge, looking down on the alley.

"What are you doing?" sighed Raphael. "And if you say looking for clues, I will kick your ass." Leo didn't turn around as he continued to look along the roof edge. "Are you ignoring me now?"

"You told me not to answer if the answer was what you said it was."

"What? Jeeze you sound like Donnie."

"Should I take that as an insult or a compliment?" smirked Leo. Raphael growled in frustration. What was with his brother? He was acting completely out of character. Reckless even.

Leo looked up at the sound of sirens coming closer. "You think Donnie could hack into the police files?"

"You know he could. Don't bring me into this," growled Raphael. Leo turned back to face his brother, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"If you are not involved then who is going to save my life when some bad guy tries to kill me?"

"You bastard," growled Raphael. Leo had done it again, manipulated him into getting involved. He never asked, he never forced, he just did what he always did. Left it up to his conscience.
