This is just a oneshot. I love Zack and Maddie. I'm still working on Give Me Grace, but I have writer's block on it, so I figured I'd write a oneshot. At the time, I only write HSM and Suite Life fics, so if you wanted to request a oneshot, just PM me and I'll get it written and posted and I'll send you the link as a reply. For now, enjoy the Zaddie-ness.

You're Beautiful

Maddie smiled, leaning against the door frame of their daughter's nursery. Zack was talking to her. He didn't realize that she was even home, let alone at the door. She loved hearing Zack talk to Olivia, so she stayed quiet so she didn't ruin the moment.

"When you get a boyfriend, I'll give him the third degree. I'm gonna grill him and ask him a bunch of questions, and if he says something I don't like, I'm kicking him out," Zack said. "No one is going to break my little girl's heart... You're my one and only girl. Just don't tell your mommy cause she might get jealous."

Olivia cooed, chewing on her fingers. With every word that Zack spoke, she stared at him. Right into his eyes, like she was really listening and understanding what he was saying.

"And when you get married, I'm gonna give the best speech ever. I mean, if I live that long. If your mommy finds out I'm the one that broke her palm pilot, she'd gonna kill me," he said.

Maddie's jaw dropped. "So that's what happened to it..." she thought. She knew she didn't crack the screen herself.

"Mommy's really special, you know," Zack said. He ran his hand over Olivia's hair, watching her chew on her chubby fingers. "I've loved her since I met her. I was twelve. She was fifteen. I've loved her for ten years. Usually, weddings are supposed to be the bride's dream day, but the day I married Mommy was the best day of my life. The second best day was when she told me she was pregnant. And now my favorite day is the day you were born."

Maddie's eyes started tearing up and she bit on her thumb nail a little to not make any noise.

"From the moment I held you in my arms... I knew I'd love you for the rest of your life. Not because I have to, but because I just knew you'd be something special. When you're older, you're going to get made fun of... I can see it. But don't you ever, ever let that bother you. You just know that you are very beautiful and very special, and that's all you need to know."

Maddie's tears slid down her cheeks and she quietly walked to hers and Zack's room, turning on the baby monitor. She sniffled and sat on the bed, holding the monitor in her hands.

"You might look different on the outside, but you're amazing and beautiful and gorgeous on the inside. Just like Mommy," Zack's voice said. "No matter what anyone else says, that's all that matters. You're beautiful in every way."

Maddie turned the monitor off and sniffled, laying back on their bed. She ran her hand over her face to wipe the tears away and she stared at the ceiling. Everything Zack said was true. Olivia was going to be made fun of. But it wouldn't make her any less beautiful. Not in their eyes.

The day they found out Olivia had downs syndrome was the worst day of their life. But they were blessed. They wouldn't trade Olivia for a perfectly normal baby ever. She was their pride and joy and that would never change. Ever. At only 9 months old, Olivia was brilliant. Always had been and always would be. Maddie would never want to change that.

"You're beautiful..." Maddie whispered.
