Prologue
The penthouse apartment was silent, as it should have been given that it was late in to the night. Lights were off and people were asleep. However the eighteen-year old Daisy sat wide awake, contemplating. Everything in her room was off except for her laptop which was sitting right in front of her on her bed. She was staring at the bright screen, her eyes, and her mind, straining. She didn't know what to do. On the screen was a form which was mostly filled out. There were only a few spaces still blank, but that was the problem. She was unsure if she should continue.
Daisy grew up wealthy and never lacked a chance to become famous. Her dad was a multi-millionaire businessman and her mom, a world-famous actress and model. Daisy could have easily become famous by just being their child, but she had wanted something more. There was an urge inside of her that seemed to be craving attention from a different source. Not just attention from being the child of someone famous, but attention from her own talents. She had gotten that attention in small spurts from her friends and during school and such, but never in big enough increments like she wanted.
That form on the screen would have given her what she wanted, but she was unsure if she really wanted to put the effort to get it. She wants the fame, but from a television show? Sure, the television show was popular worldwide. She would be famous for just being on it, not to mention if she won the thing.
"Could I do this?" she mumbled to herself.
Her fingers hovered over the keys for a couple seconds of hesitation; but only for a little bit before coming down and continuing to type.
"What am I saying?" she asked herself as she continued to type. "Of course I can do this. I don't know why I'm hesitating. I am freaking awesome. I would be stupid to pass such a sweet offer. To be on television? To let the entire world see my glory?"
She finished up the form and moved the cursor over the submit button. The last bit of hesitation she may have had was flushed away as she double-clicked the button, sending in her submission form and putting in her name to become a contestant on the "hottest new reality show".
"I'm going to be famous," Daisy whispered, saying at the flashing "Submitted" screen.
"A spectacular new show is arriving to your favourite network and it needs your help.
From the same producers that brought you the Total Drama series and the Redonculous Race, brings you the newest in reality entertainment. This fall ten young adults will be competing to win one-million dollars in prizes as they battle each through multiple challenges all centered around the elements. Can they battle through earth, wind, fire, and water for the chance to win the prize?

The commercial played by so quickly, but Dax managed to focus on the important parts. A reality show, he thought. A chance to be on television… He didn't really care about that. What caught his attention was the prize. One-million dollars in prizes; sure, he didn't know what that meant, but it sounded like a lot. And he liked the sound of it.
"What are you doing, Dax? Sitting so close to the television?" his mom questioned upon entering the living room.
Dax hadn't realized, but he had gotten extremely close to the television screen as the commercial played. He didn't think he was that into the idea, but this just confirmed it for him. He had to sign up. He had to be on that show. He didn't care about anything else but that money. He wanted it.
I have been reading Total Drama stories on this site for years, so I decided to make an account for myself and try my hand at an SYOC of one. Now note, I have a job that requires two/three days of my week, so I won't be updating every day. But I hope to still update regularly; just to let you know.
