A/n: This is a bit of an obscure idea, I finally got around to writing it. Hope you enjoy, reviews are appreciated.

It's blank. That's the first thing she notices. An old battered notebook, forgotten at the bottom of an old suitcase, completely void of content.

Cho remembers the days of Hogwarts. The study groups in the library or the dorm. The long, sometimes boring notes she would take as a professor lectured on a magical topic. She finds it strange that the book is completely blank. Not a single bored doodle or a written conversation with a friend. Just empty, lined pages, fraying around the edges from age.

Cho finds this book strangely familiar. It has been decades since she's seen it, and her memory is beginning to splinter. She turns the book over in her hands, admiring the navy blue fabric spread across both covers. But she still can't remember.

It's been many years since the downfall of Voldemort. Cho is married to a muggle named David. They have three kids, Aya, Annie, and Melody. The girls have grown up, gone to Hogwarts. The older two have graduated. Aya, the oldest, now has a son, John.

Melody, the youngest, is going back to Hogwarts for her 6th year. She needs notebook for Advanced Transfiguration, so Cho told her she'd look for an empty one among her old school things.

And Cho has found what she was looking for. But as she sits there, in an old storage room, holding the book, she doesn't call for Melody to tell her the search is over. She sits there, the book in her hands, trying to remember.

Cho feels drawn to the book, as if it is egging her on, to remember the book's importance. She flips the book open to a random lined page, staring at the blue lines placed in regular intervals down the paper. She knows she shouldn't expect anything to happen, but as she sits there, staring at the blank page, she feels as though she's anticipating something.

Hello Cho.

She is startled when she sees the words appear from nowhere. She glances around the room, looking for someone who might be charming it to say these words. She sees no one.

She looks back at the page, astonished. As she watches, new lines appear below the first.

Write to talk to me.
If you want.

Cho reaches into her pocket and finds a pen, a muggle contraption she has become quite fond of over the years. Shaking, she puts the pen to the paper.

Who are you

Someone from your past.

You know who I am?

Cho Chang. The girl who wore the silver dress to the Yule Ball. The girl I danced with.

How are you communicating with me?

I only exist in this book now.
The rest of me is dead.

Cho pauses. The excitement of the words appearing on the page is fading, and she is beginning to realize the darkness of what she's discovered. The prospect of this not being some trick, that she is speaking to a dead person that knows so much about her, is frightening. Cho can think of a person that fits that description.

Who are you

It's me Cho.
It's Cedric.

A tear rolls down Cho's cheek.

Did it hurt? She writes, tears bubbling from her eyes and running down her cheeks.

Dying, did it hurt?

No.
Is he dead?

Harry's fine.

I mean Voldemort.

Yeah. He died a while ago.

What year is it?

2030

Wow. He writes.
It's been a while.

Yeah.

Are you married? He asks.

Yes.

Tell me about him.

His name is David. She writes. We've been together 25 years. We have 3 daughters, too. Aya, Annie, and Melody.

Congratulations.

I still miss you. She writes.
After all this time.

I miss you too.

"Mom!" Cho hears Melody tromping up the stairs. She knows she has to tear away from this book, as much as it pains her.

I have to go. She writes, tears still falling.

I know.

She hears Melody approaching the door.

If I'd had a son, I'd have named him after you.
