Opposites Attract

It began the moment she had set eyes upon the mysterious blonde boy hugging his mother on the other side of the Platform. He was interesting and her father had just told her to beat him in every exam that they had. This only made him more intriguing.

"Goodbye, Mum. I'll miss you," she gave her mother a tight hug.

"I'll miss you too, sweetheart."

"Daddy, Hugo, I'll miss you both too," she moved over to her red-headed father and little brother.

"We'll miss you too, Rosie."

"Bye, baby," her dad said, "I was serious about those tests though."

She laughed, gave one last wave to her family and boarded the train with her cousins.

Five years after standing on Platform Nine and Three Quarters for the first time, Rose Weasley had befriended several students from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was no surprise that she would end up in Gryffindor like her mother and father before her along with all of her cousins and her little brother Hugo. Even though Rose had many friends she spent most of her time with her cousin Albus Potter and none other than Scorpius Malfoy.

Rose had not told her father about Scorpius because she knew that he would not like it due to the fact that he had never gotten along with his father throughout his schooling years. It didn't help that his father had also been a Death Eater and had called her mother a Mudblood because she was a Muggleborn.

She had also stayed true to her Dad's wishes of beating Scorpius in every test therefore, making him believe that they were rivals. This did not help matters.

Beside these points, Rose and Scorpius got on perfectly well however, they were exact opposites.

Rose studied hard for every exam, while Scorpius couldn't care less about his grades. Scorpius loved Quidditch whereas Rose wouldn't know a Beater from a Chaser. Rose came from a big family while Scorpius was an only child and had no cousins. Even though Scorpius and Rose were nothing alike they still had their similarities.

They were both Gryffindor's. They were both best friends with Albus. Together they shared a passion for Muggle Studies. And they were both completely and utterly in love with one another.

Was it alright? Should I right more Scorpius and Rose One-Shots or should I just stick to writing Merlin?
