So I had to make a short story for English class.

It's not great for we had a lot of restrictions, but I thought let's place it here anyway.

Enjoy reading!

I groaned and tried to open my eyes, but immediately regretted it as bright light entered my vision and only added to the already pounding headache I had. Fortunately, my eyes slowly got used to the light and I immediately remembered what had happened and where I was now. I got in a car accident on my way to work, I was just crossing the street when a stupid guy came out of nowhere and hit me, and fortunately I didn't forget what he looked like. As soon as I could get out of he- "I'm glad you didn't decide to waste the rest of my time by sleeping." I let out a sigh. "Of course, just my luck. The guy who put me here comes walking right in as if he owns the place.

"What the hell were you thinking? Didn't you see me?" I closed my eyes and waved a hand in front of my face. "Oh I'm sorry; I was a little busy with following the rules to notice an idiot entering a street he wasn't supposed to enter!"

I shot him an angry glare as he shrugged and tried to sit up, but only ended up wincing from pain as I moved my sour muscles. "I wouldn't move for a while if I were you."

I let out a forced laugh and looked up at him. "What are you a doctor or something?"

The moment that he nodded was the moment that I realized I had a major problem. The fact that my presence seemed to annoy him already, made me like him, a lot.

"You're kidding me." He just shook his head and I studied him in surprise. He definitely didn't look like a doctor, more like one of those stern teachers that give lots of homework and never laugh. Even his eyes seemed dark. Age? I had no idea, he could be twenty or he could be one of those guys in mid-thirties that never look their age.

"How old are you?" Okay, so maybe it was rude of me to ask it just right away, but I couldn't help it, I was interested.

"That's not of your concern." My eyes light up and I showed him another smile, an honest one this time. "Oh on the contrary, since you're the reason I ended up like this, you'd think I could at least know your name and age." We stared at each other and I could only laugh at the way he frowned. "Fine, don't tell, but could you at least smile a little? Don't get me wrong I like your frown; it's just that-" A light laugh interrupted me and at that moment I realized that, while he may have come across like a harsh guy he most definitely had a fun side to him and I was the lucky witness. "You're truly an odd girl." This time it was my turn to shrug and against all my expectations, what followed as a reply was the most beautiful smile I'd ever seen.
