Authors note: this is my first H.O.A. Fic so I'm not sure how it will work so bear with me. This ting(?!) starts when um...(forgot what I was doin) in season two when near the end when they lose Nina down the hole in the senet game. When Patricia accuses Fabian of giving up on Nina yeah? Well what if Fabian doesn't take the accusation so lightly? Enjoy!

"Why are you all giving up on her like that?!" Patricia yelled as the gang were about to make their way to school.

"Especially you Fabian! Of all people I thought that you would actually care abou-" she stopped as Fabian cut across her,practically roaring at her.

"HOW DARE YOU!!!HOW DARE YOU SAY IVE GIVEN UP ON NINA!!!I WOULD NEVER GIVE UP ON HER!!!" And he stormed into his room with Amber shouting after him.

"But Fabian! We have to go to school still!" She heard him yell from his room as she turned to face the others.

"I DONT CARE!!!IM NOT COMING!!!" Amber sighed before speaking, making sure nobody was going to interrupt her when she did.

"Well done Patricia! Look what you went and did now! Why couldn't you just keep your bloody mouth closed instead of being like that! You know perfectly well that out of all of us Fabian would be least likely to give up on her! Anyway let's go, I guess Fabian's not coming to school today because of Patricia so it's just us three." And she turned and left with Alfie and Patricia herself walking sulkily after her. School was a subdued affair and five minutes into their History class there was a knock at the door and Fabian walked in, looking like he had just woken up. He sat down next to Amber today instead of sitting beside Patricia like he usually did for obvious reasons. At the end of class they all left and Amber made sure to keep Patricia away from Fabian in fear of him hitting her. The next class they had was english(what we call it in primary school) so they made their way to the classroom and the class itself was a,let's say,eventful time. Halfway through their teachers lecture Fabian had another one of his bursts right infront of the class.

"And that is why in most stories the trapped hero or heroine ends up perishing-" she stopped abruptly as a particular student cut across her.

"No...not this time she doesn't!" The teacher tilted her head at him while she spoke which gave her an air of being constantly intimidating.

"Excuse me,my dear?" He didn't have a proper answer but just stuttered for all he was worth.

"I-I-I'm sorry. I c-can't do this." And he left the room with Amber hurrying after him,muttering something about a holistic breakdown. Jerome mouthed a silent

'Nothing? What was that then!?'At Alfie who simply looked out the opposite window to avoid replying.

Amber's P.O.V

She hurried out of the classroom after Fabian who had rushed out the room seconds before she did. She couldn't blame him since he had loved Nina,mind you,loved her. She searched for several minutes before literally smacking herself on the forehead as she though of the only place he would go at the moment. Nina's room. And sure enough, when she got there she saw him sitting on Nina's bed looking well and truly defeated. She approached him slowly when he spoke.

"What are you all going to to? I'm not doing this anymore! We already lost Nina and w-we are not going to lose anyone else. You'll have to find somebody else to navigate the game Amber!" And at that moment Amber felt that she couldn't argue with him,that they had truly lost.
